I know, I too have the album. Here's the thing. Musicians don't won't you to know they do things the "easy" way. They just aren't admitting it. Besides, if MOF didn't use the drum machine, then you can bet it was used somewhere before MOF got it. Bottom line is damn near all of this kind of beat comes from either a drum machine or a computer program. If it is not human, then it has to be. Wouldn't you agree?

I don't think they sampled the drums at all. It is just a common drum machine beat. I have several drum machines here in my studio, and I can easily match this. That is the thing about automation. It does take the "human" out of it. But in this case, like a lot of others, it just doesn't matter. If you care about the drums here, you are missing the point of the song. In my humble opinion. Love and peace.
