  • Really good xD, love the song and the Kingdom Hearts poster =D

  • Oh shit...i broke the replay-button...again!

  • Does anyone else look at this video and immediately think about Crowley and his essay on the Soldier and the Hunchback?

  • ;D.Awesome. It ranks, dude

  • fuck this video but love the song!

  • so many things to love about this video

1)i come here about once a week to watch it becuase i love it

    2)wayne stock shirt! fucking awesome

    3)tomas kalnoky...enough said there

4)one of my favorite things on youtube is when people make their own music videos of ska and or punk songs that are unpopular and are completely original! (i.e. this exact video)

5)catch 22 (streetlight as well, the album cover was amazing =P)

7)a provocative video without becoming too preachy or retarded!

  • 1. blast this at any party

    2. hit the keg

    3. ???

    4. PROFIT

  • Why not a period? PERIODS PERIODS FOR EVERYONE!!!!

  • @PRex254 That is wrong in so many ways.

  • How have I never seen this video!! SO awesome. Nice twist there.

  • I LOVE this video so much! Haven't seen it since I was like, 13.

  • is this catch 22?

  • @iKiLLEDreaganTWICE its what catch 22 has become, their name is Streetlight Manifesto.

  • Amateur music video makers, take a lesson from this video: it goes with the song, but doesn't follow the song word-for-word like it was a play or something. There's no lip-syncing or ridiculous air guitar. The video is actually entertaining and meaningful and not just stupid.

And it helps that the song is freakin awesome.

  • @2:03

    No better part.

  • 1:07 hell yeh fuck society!

  • waynes world 2...what a fail ):

  • dude, that wayne's world 2 t-shirt is sick haha

  • Thats at SCAD isn't it?

  • all their good songs came from tomas kalnoky, but all of those songs were about HIS high school days

  • hey is the guy with the "!" hat the fat nerdy kid from how high!? LMAO it sure fuckin looks like him

  • ya know i love streetlight manifesto, but i think the catch 22 version of Keasbey Nights is wayyyy better :D

  • imma do this now

  • So fun to Skank too.

  • ima make a "?" sign and hang it on my door

  • ! = :( ? = :)

  • @monzione * = :D

  • okok i know it´s the same guy^^

  • i want a wayne stock t-shirt.

  • this is tight! great job on this!

  • and after the reign of Asterisk comes... SEMICOLON

  • One of them looks like Jake from Jake and Amir.

  • sounds a bit like Streetlight manifesto

  • @Todesbohne Tom Kalnoky wrote all the music for Catch 22 and now does the same for Streetlight, so yeah, they sound the same.

  • Comment removed

  • @Todesbohne

yeah it does, streetlight manifesto also has a version of this song.

  • @Todesbohne

Thats because it's the same singer.

The singer went to college then joined a new band which is now known as streetlight manifesto.

  • @Hicks0000 Thomas wrote every single song that catch 22 played so he owns the writes to all the music, so they remade the cd because he thought the quality was crappy. you'll notice that at the end of 1234 1234 they have a microsoft sans doing the conversation at the end of the song of the original 1234 1234

  • @Todesbohne same guy...

  • oh man, i agree, this video has such fucking amazing meaning to it. I am actually wearing a shirt right now ith a question mark, and the back is an exclamation point thats crossed out like in the video. I fuckin know it and love it, the meaning of this video.

  • I love that look at @1:59

  • My personal favourite ska song

  • Haha! I think there was a moral in politics to this video. But that's just me. :P

  • @smittywer Can you say machiavellian overtones? lol

  • what an idiotic music video, but i like it :D

  • totally awesome

  • here is the thing... clearly the other members in catch wanted to go into a full on punk sound and tomas wanted a full ska sound... they did the same music streetlight came out with keasbey nights almost ten years later. so of course it is going to sound different. unfortunately ska is mostly dead. don't get me wrong though i listen to mostly ska.

  • @grenadine121 ska will live on

  • @grenadine121 Ska isn't dead if you have bands like BTMI! and The Aquabats around.

  • dude streetlight has made this song so much better

  • nicee. its sounds like reel big fish. :D

  • how did you guys change the song?

  • LOL

  • HAHa I like how King Brandon is sleeping under a pillow on the bed in the background while Anarchist Johnny is drawing the question mark. Nice you guys!

Ps. everyone that's my man in the WAYNESTOCK shirt. Oh what a thespian. lol

  • @MeggieButer rofl i didnt notice that, thats a nice piece of trivia

  • @MeggieButer Wow nice eye man ive seen this video like 87 time and i didnt notice that

  • Ha Ha I like how King Brandon is sleeping on the bed in the background when Anarchist Johnny is drawing the question mark, nice job guys.

Ps everyone, that's my boyfriend in the WAYNESTOCK shirt.oh what an thespian he is.

  • Wow, I really, really like this video!

    (esp. the WayneStock shirt)

  • personally I liked catch 22's version of keasbey nights (the album) a lot better than streetlight's. Streetlight has better songs in general though

  • @cripple128 u do no that they are the same people right?

  • @goblex2 ya i know. Tom kalnoky was in catch 22 and they made keasbey nights then he left and made streetlight manifesto and they remade the album. I'm just saying i liked the original better

  • I love this video. This is everything you'll ever need to know about politics, right here.

  • actually its not... they only have tom which was the best in the band... streetlight is way better, the performance is way better, the brass is better

  • streetlight is 100 times better

  • streetlight is basically catch 22 bro

  • Hey, smart guys, Streetlight Manifesto was founded by an old Catch 22 member. That's why they sound so similar. The other band members are from another ska band. Hope that wraps that up.

  • @MrNabled

yea mostly the band one cool guy, and catch 22 is nothing without kalnoky

  • Damn, you people are tearing each other to shreds.

I am going to come out and say it. Catch and streetlight are pretty much the same band. Streetlight has better vocals on this particular track though.

    Please don't stone me.

  • good song, look in operation ivy also , both great bands

  • Catch had a better keasbey album. But streetlight's new work is absolutely amazing. Just go look up point/counterpoint. GO CATCH 22 and MUSTARD PLUG

  • catch 22 is way better then street light!!

  • i like streetlights version

  • for ska thank the skatalites and op ivy

  • @killermonkeypeople1

I love both of those bands :]

Though I really hope you are aware of the fact that those aren't the bands we should thank for ska.

    Do some research.

  • ya great bands but i did some research and ska goes WAAAY BACK

  • @killermonkeypeople1 ....no shit haha

  • Catch 22 is AMAZING!!!! But streetlight is....GODLY ABOVE ALL OTHERS

  • catch 22 has more rawness...

  • I love this song so much. such a tune.

  • 1:25 Fail.

  • love the song, love the vid 8)

  • is the the official vid?

  • lmao!! great job guys !

  • BEST INTERPRETATION EVERRR!!

  • The video is about 'selling out' to the latest trends. It's a pretty consistent theme in ska music ;)

  • so whats the vid about??

  • Comment removed

  • This has to be one of the funniest music videos ever, that guy's crown rules

  • both versions are sick quit bringin

the bands down theyre both badass

    bands...ska is ska

  • i know that the keasbey nights album done by streetlight isnt that good only because its obvious they didnt wanna do it.

  • i fucking love this song and the band that makes this song and their other songs too

  • band*

  • you guys do realize that catch and streetlight are basically the same bad right

  • Thats the dumbest thing ive ever read. they were the same band, but as soon as kalnoky bounced catch 22 changed a wicked lot and now streetlight is much darker than their original sound. Catch 22 is much poppier. There are very few similarities between them anymore

  • Blech, the Catch 22 version is turrible, haha.

  • its not catch 22's vid.... its some guys final project for his video class.... rather see catch 22's..... maby this one is still better... maby i shouldnt smoke a 8th before noon.

  • Oh I know it's not Catch's video, just their song. Much prefer Streetlight Manifesto's... everything.

  • you guys gotta stop trash talking the other bands. its ska! who cares who sounds cleaner or whose is more catchy?

lets just sit back and enjoy

  • @wwx13 agreed, brah.

  • @wwx13 yo he has a valid point we were made fo pce man role up a fatty and sit back and relax

  • @wwx13 it's all about the rhythm u get when ur stoned!

  • Funny

  • fuck you man

why does smoking make them gay

your a pussy whose mind is set on something and isnt open to actually try what you think is gay

    douche

  • testy testy!!! I just finished watching The onion news network ...man people take things so seriously on youtube...MY GOD! Lighten up and have a drink,,,and maybe a smoke...and you'll be gay!! lol

  • i get jokes hahahahahah

  • the Streetlight is more serious and feels cleaner but this just has that definitive ska silliness too it

  • The both have their great moments. Streetlight feels cleaner, but this one is so catchy..... I dunno. I think people just need to stop caring and enjoy both bands for what they are.

  • good point.

but this version is better :P

haha but seriously, you're right. though the fact that this version was done when tomas was only 17 is astounding.

  • i like this better than streetlight manifesto : l

  • I generally prefer the Streetlight versions of Keasbey Nights songs, but both versions of this particular song kick vast amounts of ass.

  • catch 22 is the shit

    along with reel big fish

  • definetely

  • totally

  • idiots this is the original catch 22 version of the song.

  • you're fucking retarded this is original catch 22

  • lol thats a good story video

  • It is indeed. Metaphors galore I half expected the guy at the end to have like some ellipsis, or a semi colon or something! haha

  • This question has most likely been addressed, but I am too lazy to look through all the other comments; Where did this cover of Keasbey Nights come from? Did you guys do it?

  • this is the original version and then streetlight re-recorded it.

  • extremely low budget

  • I have never really heard the catch 22 version, but I think I like the non-original Streetlight version.

    Please don't hate me

  • Okay, here's how it goes: The Catch 22 version (in fact, their entire first album) was written entirely by the lead man of Streetlight Manifesto. It's the same song, just re-released and remastered.

  • catch 22 > SM version.. over produced.. i missed those years

anyone who knows their shit will tell u C 22 version is a classic

  • you cant say that, i probably know as much, if not more, about mastering and producing, and i cant say i prefer either one, there just different, its like comparing violins and trumpets, neither one is better, it all depends on personal taste. Please dont be ignorant towards music.

  • who cares what you know, SM version was over produced and that's a fact..

  • you just said anyone who knows their shit, i know my shit and then you tell me no one cares what someone knows, im telling its not over produce, and that you dont know your shit I was simply trying to retain some tact in telling you, both were produced, and just in different ways, to over produce you would have to make it on a program with absolute perfection

  • were you around when first KN dropped, if not you wouldnt understand where im coming from...

The old one was perfect, the new version added extra horns etc which wasn't needed =/

  • ya i was and i can see where your coming from, but it wasn't a producers input that changed the song it was tom, the only thing im arguing is thats its not over produced, you can prefer which ever one you want, and i do think the original is a classic, when it first came out it blew my mind :) its what got me into ska

  • in the sense that it lead to Streetlights current fame then yes, but no, acoustically, the Streetlight version is better, it's a better sound quality, and the players themselves are more experienced. Also considering the fact that Tom Kalnoky was the lead man in both recordings, I'd say you sir, are an idiot.

  • Everything Goes Numb is what lead to their success and the fact that thomas had a good following, pretty everyone tried playing like OLD C 22..

He remade it the way he wanted, the original was already a classic, but with the extra horns here and there etc, it really wasn't needed. He was trying to perfect something that was already good, people that know their shit would agree with me.

  • i hate you xD

  • Actually Streetlight rerecorded Keasby Nights because they thought it sounded "like pure garbage, and we (streetlight) wanted to get the album to sound like it should have sounded in the first place", and because it was Tom Kalnoky's original creation, they had all the rights to, so yes, the Streetlight version sounds way better than the Catch version, as was intended

  • Haha most low-budget video ever... but great song... the video is oddly reminiscent of Animal Farm

  • hahahaha yes. that book was boring as hell, but yes. xD

  • saw them saturday night in new hampshire, awseome as usual

  • i was there too

i thought they blew the bosstones away

  • really? when i saw them with the bosstones they put on a pitifully bad show. guess you lucked out

  • good job for the clip, I hope street light wiil make a new album soon <3

  • agreed original catch 22 all the way

  • you cant beat the original catch

  • wayne stock!!!

  • Random?

  • no theres a guy with a wayne stock t on

  • At certain points, this reminds me of Sick & Sad.

  • No doubt bro, you had to have aced that final. Bravo!

  • how the hell did you get ben affleck to star in your video

  • beast? lol

  • video kicks ass man rofl

  • funniest music video ive seen in a long time

  • this is the catch version noob

  • this is Catch 22's version

  • Great song

  • best video ive seen in a long time!

  • lmao Sweet Vid Dude's

  • rofl, asterisk at the very end :P

  • esta muy chido

  • Has one of my favorite horn parts out of any ska song.

  • i miss this band )

  • they still exist pecker nose

  • the vid reminds me of the book Animal Farm

  • lay off a bunch of colledge kids bored on a weekend w/e

  • stupid, annoying, yet hilarious and awesome. good work.

  • Wow, good job. Very cool.

  • is this played by Catch 22 or streetlight?

  • Catch 22 :)

  • both. Kalnokywas the lead singer in both bands and wrote the lyrics to the song, so he has the rights to it. When Victory Records asked him if they re-release it, he decided it would be better if they re-recorded it.both bands claim the rights to it.

  • catch 22
