  • Digger Revell, one of the greatest Aussie singers. a recent CD of his greatest hits sold out in double quick time.

  • Love those winkle-picker shoes! Unfortunately the backing singers get the lyrics wrong at 1:12.

  • Thanks, he really sings Cliff well.

I also am trying to source "Castles in the Air. Love all the old 60's Australian music, "Bandstand" "6 O'clock Rock"

Surfside was a wonderful instrumental, miss Australia with a passion, this always reminds me of what a wonderful place it is. Just got back from Barbados and saw Sir Cliff Richards mansion on the Island, deja vue for Don't Talk To Him.

  • Great old clip and really good song. A legend, thanks for posting this.

  • Is this Digger Revell of Surfside fame?, Great artist from Australia.

  • sure is - his backing group the denvermen had a big hit with surfside

  • Hell, I thought 'I' was old ! Was lookin' up the Cliff Richard version when I came across this one. I'm 50 yrs old but I've never heard of the guy. Mind you, he sure sings it well ! This song is my favourite Cliff Richard song.

  • The old Digger had a few other hits - My little rocker turned surfie - 45 years ago and I still remember. Brian Davies, Jimmy Hannan and a whole lot of others were there as well. Great era of Aussie music.
