If I were AVB, I would prioritize looking for RB and CM in this transfer window. Why did he buy another CB ? For me, I think we should buy a good RB. The one who is really quick, good defending, dribbling and crossing. Bosingwa sucks at defending. For CB we have Luiz/Iva/Terry. Coles sticks to LB as he's not as bad as Bosingwa. I don't really see buying a CB is our main priority. And yes, we need a CM to replace our aging Lampard. He's not creative and agile like he used to be !

Hopefully, he will focus on buying a creative midfielder, someone that can create and penetrate from the centre. Ramires is a good runner and barging through the defender, but he cannot really dribble and creative. Poor Torres. He couldn't score at Chelsea because other than Mata and Anelka, none of the midfielders can feed him a killer through pass.

It's a shame that a player of Luiz' stature will be warming the bench from now on. Luiz is quality, although his positional play isn't always the best (and his rash tackles). We shall see - with Ivanovic injured - he might start as a right-back. But thumbs up if you think that Bosingwa is our worst defender. I cannot stand that guy!

i say this is good for us. we need rotation and competition within our defence. i remember the mourinho years at stamford we used to have a different defence line up quite often. only cole is safe at the moment cause he is the best left back you can ask for(i feel bad for bertrand but as soon as cole hits a slump he is definately in)

Chelsea haven't busted to the bank to sign to sign a player (in todays modern footballing world.. 7 million is cheap) and 2.) he gives us some depth in defence. However i don't understand why he says he is consistent? The past 2 years Bolton have been fighting relegation and conceded more than one could imagine. Juan Mata is NOT a player that will play in a midfield 3, he is not that kind of player at all, he has always played in a FRONT 3, or just off the striker in a 4-4-1-1 or a 4-2-3-1, you will be playing him too far back and giving him too many defensive duties. And we don't need Hulk or Hazard, they are overrated and over priced and aside from fantasy, they would be difficult to accomadate.

Juan Mata is not a central midfielder, he is not Ramires, Romeu or Lampard, for Spain and formerly for the Spain U21 team, Mata plays in the FRONT 3, oh and Hazard is not a goalscorer, I looked at his stats, he averages 1 goal every 5 games, yeah, great goalscorer...

Although he is better at defense than Bosingwa, he has screwed up against Spurs (shouldve blocked the cross), against Norwich (he got in Turnbull's way and headed the ball straight to Holt), against Arsenal last season on the 2nd goal (out of position), 3 goals against Arsenal this season (ball watching), and the 3rd goal against Utd (shouldve cleared it.
