  • you make it so simple =)

  • ME CAGO EN VOS HIJO DE REMIL PUTA

  • The most correct method that I have seen so far. I teach guitar and have to restring 40 classical guitars at least twice each year. I can't afford having guitar go out of tune. During the school year, I use the same method you use on the sixth string, on the 6,5,4 and it works just great. Great job, the guys at D' Addario ought to study this.

  • So hard to see, bad focus :(

  • some help this was. two thumbs down

  • Wow, way to move the camera AWAY from the bridge, JUST as he's putting the string through and demonstrating what you need to see. Thanks for that.

  • i have a western guitar and i bought nylon strings...

is there any chance i can put those up on my western guitar ?

  • @hypermagex If you tie a knot in the end of the string, you can use nylon strings in a pin bridge like steel strings. Some times I have to tie two knots, one on top of the other in the high E string. Also, the nylon strings are fatter and might sit higher in the nut at the end of the neck and make the strings harder to fret at the 1st fret, they may have to be adjusted for height. It won't hurt the guitar to use them, though.

  • i spill my nut everywhere i go. ahha.

  • can't see anything your hands are in the way.

  • wats the cameraman doing he's making my head spin with all his stupidity

  • guy with the camera seems to be on glue...ok then.

  • lol heres your problem youre spilling ur nut

  • I agree. The camera work was terrible. I've actually gone on to find another video

    thanks for the effort, though...

  • Great teachinbg clip - shame about the pissed cameraman.

  • -.-

  • so complicated he goes two fast and i cant see the strings!

  • I never really knew how to do this! Thanks so much, it worked perfectly.

  • Great job! But the next time I watch this, I'll make sure to take some motion sickness medication......

  • This video is at the same time annoying and interesting. You can see someone who is totally out of touch with technology, and can't even think about what the viewer is seeing in what he's filming.

  • At at boy! Well done cinematographer. Keep up the great work...

  • I personally think that the camera action gives the lesson a warm homemade feeling.

Anyways, does anyone know if the direction in which the strings rest at the head matters?

  • cameraman is terrible

  • im so lost !!

cameraman sucks giving me a headache

  • a sting sounded slightly high

  • i cant string my classical guitar its the most frustrating thing i have tried with guitar why cant it be as easy as an electric or acoustic!

  • hye can I put the nylon string on my steel acoustic guitar?

  • no.

  • Yes you can.

However, they won't have enough tension to prevent the neck from bowing back. Nor will they have be able to properly vibrate the top of your steel string guitar in order to produce sound... and isn't that the point?

If you want something akin to nylon strings, try "silk and steels."

  • 6:08 bwahahahhahha i just spilt my nut!!!

  • thanks a lot

  • thanks!!

  • Thanks for help!

  • thats how i do it too!

    thanks

    bad camera guy.!

    :S!!

    but i give it a 5

  • That's exactly how I do mine. Well almost. The sixth string at the bridge, I also twist it, but only once, and then I turn it the other way, loose the fifth string a little and trap it under the fifth string. That's the best way I know how.

Really good video. Bad camera guy. Horrible! I still give it a 5. Just cause that's the best way in the world! NOt really. There's really not a best way. Theres a few. But for me, this is the best!

    Peace

  • dont spill your nuts kids!

  • keep the camera still fuckwit!

  • i agree, the camera is going everywhere, doesn't help that much

  • You should learn how to film first.

    Very poor filming.

  • seriously bad camerawork

  • dont spill your nut or knot?

  • que tiene parkinson el de la camara?

  • haha agree! :D i think he have!

  • Interesting video

  • I am stringing my classical guitars like that from now on.

  • john ur a legend man i just watched a video b4 and i gave me no help but urs was perfect

    thanks heaps

  • dude! your video is good, but the camera guy sucks!

  • Hey that's me you're talking about... why I oughta... If you thought the video was good then That's all that matters. It suceeded in transmitting the lesson. Thanks for the positive.

  • OH no dude... everything was good, but its just it'll be more helpful if we actually see what the guy was doing. so yea, lesson was good though.

  • Yeah you are absolutely right. I was able to string my other nylon string using my video successfully but I wish I had the camera

a lot tighter still on the simple twists at the 'top' of the guitar.
