  • The end of this song is comparable to pluto relinquish's end because of the rapid stream and the slow-down parts

  • The end of this song is comparable to pluto relinquish's end because of the rapid stream and the slow down parts

  • I think the original songs chart was better..

  • so Konami is actually planning on making ITG games now? guess we'll see how that plays out...

  • Original is more fun. This song is just messed up lol

  • damn soo close to an AA

  • alllmmmooosst AA awesome!!

  • That's insane...holy shit!

  • lets . .. see your feet too when your playing eh?

  • @GorgeousAthelticBabe videos like these are merely posted just to show the stepchart.

  • I tried Saber Wing for the first time yesterday on beginner (i just started in october, I'm pretty good, getting A's on my first tries for some songs, still failing at basic mode). I applaud you for being to good. ;D Would you say this was the hardest song on the game?

  • i like this one better

  • I don't like the remix...

  • It's typical DDR - Making a harder remix for the Elite players. Think Pluto Relinquish, Healing-D-Vision, Most of the Max Songs, etc, etc.

  • lol yeah, and back when ITG1 first came out it was like "BOOM! "Pandemonium"! This is a fucking THIRTEEN FOOTER! You better be shittin' yo pants right about now!!!"

unfortunately the made remixed hardest songs in ITG2 afterwards (Vertex^2)

  • @perfectchaoslemon they were even planning a 14 footer in ITG 3 O_O (chaos energy)

  • @OneWingedGamer18 lol yea I wish Konami didn't take over ITG ;_;. They made a 14 for ITG rebirth called "Chromatic Blitz". Pretty promising.

  • I always feel so stupid, I always get a Great or Good on the first arrow because I know how the song goes, and I always think the dance starts as soon as the first note is hit, but in this case, it's the second! SIck genius in a way. Haha.

  • See: Horatio. On The Bounce. 888. Healing-D-Vision (Oni). Super Samurai and Xepher, even.

They are out there, you know. And there are players that LIKE the bpm-whacking action. In a weird, make-you-feel-kinda-stupid way, I think they're actually rather fun!

(I still mostly play "Expert" boss charts over "Challenge" ones, though. TMP, CHAOS, and Pluto are about the only exceptions. And F-elm-! XD

  • i love the Pluto Relinquish-esque run

    near the end

  • People hate crossover step because they can't [do it well] ...

Not because its a bad step

They will love it when they can do it well one day

And the most DDR players are Bar players ... crossover is harder with the bar

And believe me ,I don't know the LV19&20 new songs cus its not out yet ,but all DDR songs are possible to get good score with no bar

  • Personally, I love songs that use crossovers. However there is something as overkill (I'm looking at you sunkiss drop). When they are done properly, it can be a great stepchart (Exotic Ethnic or boom boom dollar comes to mind). Hell, half the fun of those songs is feeling your body contort as you step.

FYI, 888oni that just came out for Universe 3 is probably a LV19 song. Just search for it on here. I highly doubt a good score is possible with a bar on that song.

  • 888 should not be a ddr song, if anything it belongs on ITG with the other pad-breaking songs(that's not to say that some DDR songs aren't pad-breaker, but 888 is ridiculous)

  • That's not entirely true. 888 at max should be a 18 step song on DDRX. I've looked at the step chart, and even though it may be fast and has natural speed mods, it's only slightly harder than this song. If you look at Pluto Relinquish, the hardest DDR song to date and a 18 step song, I believe you'll see what a truly hard song looks like. It's true that 888 has difficult BPM, but the step rate isn't nearly as challenging or hard to read as Pluto Relinquish.

  • Please note that the Pluto Relinquish I am talking about is the DDRX variant.

  • i do agree with you, in commenting i was only expressing about the step layout, like towards the end. But i have seen pluto relinquish, and it is diffidently harder, i was just disgusted by the step layout of 888

  • Anybody else actually ENJOY the song?

    I do.

  • amen.

no lie, crossovers make me die a little bit when i see them.

    *cough* rhythem and police *cough*

  • Was good time when DDR was a matter of endurence and stamina than crossover and irregular beat

If the song had less crossover it would be awesome

  • if only the crossovers at the end actually made sense this would be a lot more fun...but the crossovers are too complex for such a fast speed...song is awesome but the chart....meh

  • Man, I wish we could make our own edits with changeable BPM's & stops.

  • Some parts of the chart are well on-sync but most aren't. And the crossover stream is stupid. And the slowdowns near the end are completely unnecessary.

The only thing this chart needs is 16th jump jackhammers!

  • Afronova crossovers at 312 BPM is the most hilarious torture ever.

  • i guarantee that there will be a 20 chart with that, except at pluto relinquish speed =O

  • konami really needs to come up with more ideas than just spamming crossovers

  • here's a good idea on a freeze jump arrow, at the end put a 3rd arrow to see if they can step on the arrow quick but still trying to hold that arrow as long as you can to make things more trickier! (P.S. This sounds Naoki-ish, was it made by him?)

  • You just described hand steps, which ITG invented about 4 or 5 years ago >_>

  • Well, I think it's a retarded version of DDR.

  • ... are you talking about In The Groove? ITG was definitely NOT retarded.

  • Pump had them first, I think.

  • rofl piu had everything first. Actually SM had mines first I think.

  • I remember reading something about mines being ported from ITG to StepMania... might be wrong though.

  • well I know SM had mines first. for one thing ITG acknowledged stepmania in their credits (yeah, I looked because I'm a nerd rofl). Unless you mean something else by imported, like the same theme and sound effects are used, then yeah that's been done.

  • "Mines: ... This step type was developed for the StepMania-based arcade game In The Groove, and was ported into StepMania itself during development of that title. ..." - Wikipedia

Don't know if it's correct, but whatever.

  • hmm, w/e it doesn't really matter. Either way DDR never beats ITG.

  • Definitely true... lol so many comments from us.

  • yup, we rule this comment board xD.

  • no ishihara, totally different artist. same goes tag originated from drummania as one og the composers who had a debut here in ddr.

  • I've tried this song on R21 ITG and it is easier because it has slower movement and Trigger is just plain too quick to hit the arrows.

  • If there wasn't the crossover-strewn runs of death, I'd love it. Now I think it's just...average.

  • Crossovers get old

  • Am I the only one who thinks this is harder than Trigger Oni?

  • yes, the fast part requires you to use a semi spin motion. like the last set of notes you find in NGO last stream. i can really explain them but they are more harder than crossovers, look at afronova for a better explanation.

  • yeah pretty much, the last streams needs practice to pass.

  • This song really is a bitch to sightread. I still can't beat it on the extra stage.

  • FINALY soneone put on the harder one

  • ouch, now those are awesome crossovers, cant w8 to play this song.

  • cool, amazing moves ;)

I think this chart is AAA'able

  • Nobody could sightread that.

  • I did. XD
