  • Anti-distinctly-minty...

  • "YOU MAAADE....Baldrick a Lord?"

"Sir..might I let lose a short, violent exclamation?.. DAAAMN!!!!!!"

    "This way..my Lord.." 27:09 xD

  • @spacecowboy5000 More or less, yes, each show follows a different generation of Blackadder and Baldrick. Ending with Captain Blackadder in Blackadder Goes Fourth, who was a British Army Captain in WW1.

  • "Go back to your kitchen sink, you see, and prepare for government" - a very neat little joke at the expense of the Lib Dems!

  • This is the first time I've seen Blackadder and I'm amazed. Is it worth going back to the start or carry on from here?

  • @spacecowboy5000 well, the 1st Season (just titled Blackadder) is not nearly as good as the 2nd, 3rd and 4th season/series were. But those 3 are good, and the entire fandom has differing opinions on which ones are the funnies, frankly I feel that the 3rd Season (this one, titled Black Adder the Third) is the funniest, but they are all good.

  • @RaithSienar Thanks for such great advice! Am I to understand that the series follow a few generations of Blackadders? And Baldrics? :D

  • Hugh Laurie back when he had great writing to work with. "House" sucks.

  • ... I'm going as Missis Hamilton's pussy!

  • standing at the back dressed stupidly and acting stupidly part.. no votes xD

  • They should've had Guy Fawkes

  • "I shall brief as I have, rather unfortunately, become Prime Minister right in the middle of my exams"

    and

"Pitt the Toddler? Pitt the Embryo? Pitt the glint in the milkman's eye?" LOL

  • Pitt the Glint In The Milkman's Eye

    XD

  • "go back to your 'kitchen sink you see' and prepare for government"

a take perhaps on David Steele's "go back to your constituencies and prepare for government" from 1981?

  • oooh, its real cat isnt it.. !

  • From Tony Robinson's "A Cunning Night Out" Tour 2007

After "If found please return to Emma Hamilton, Marine Parade Portsmouth" "There was a line afterwards that Rowan absolutely stamped on and refused to say - "And to think, in this stage of my life I'd be up to my neck in Lady Hamilton's pussy"

I wish they'd kept that line in lol

  • a dachshund called colin... :D

  • and a small hen in its late 40's! great!

  • We hail Prince George! We hail Prince George!

"We hate Prince George!" sir. "We hate Prince George!"

  • Dunny-on-the-Wold By-Election result

    Dunny-on-the-Wold By-Election

    Party Candidate Votes % ±%

    Adder Party S. Baldrick 16,472* 100 100

Whig Pitt, the Even Younger 0 0 0

Keep Royalty White, Rat Catching And Safe Sewage Residents' Party Brigadier General Horace Bolsom 0 0 0

Standing at the Back Dressed Stupidly and Looking Stupid Party Ivor `Jest-ye-not-madam' Biggun 0 0 0

    Majority 16,472 100

    Turnout 1 100

Election rigged by Mr E Blackadder who voted 16,472 times for the same candidate.

  • @goombabear Actually, at the time one person could have many votes, because the number of votes was directly relative to one`s wealth. So E. Blackadder didn`t vote 16,472 times but rather used all of his 16,472 votes on one person.

I know this is over-analytical, but just wanted to point that out.

  • ‎'Standing at the Back Dressed Stupidly and Looking Stupid Party'

  • @goombabear

‎'Standing at the Back Dressed Stupidly and Looking Stupid Party'

That's a very cool reference to the real Monster Raving Loony Party, headed by Screaming Lord Such (David Edward Such - not a Lord) who was also a manic depressive. You can check it out at Wikipedia.

  • love Collin

  • Thx :)

  • I remember being seeing this episode as part of a history lesson at school:D It has to be the best way to explain pre-1832 reform act british politics ever and the best history teacher ever:D

  • Could someone please spell out that word that the prince was trying to say?

  • @Ingridmirei antidisestablishmentarianism or anti-distinctly-minty...lols

  • "Name, Baldrick. First name? I'm not sure. Well, you must have some idea. Well, it might be sod off."

  • I think this is the best Blackadder episode of all. The writing and comic timing are superhuman!

  • The evil William Pit the Younger, bull, that's not true, he's just working for the commonwealth. Damn the prince, spending all the money on socks.

  • the glint in the milkman's eye-classic

  • This is the worst moment of my entire life. I spent my last penny on a cat-skin windcheater, I've just broken a priceless turnip, and now I'm about to be viciously slaughtered by a naked tunisian sock merchant. All I can say, baldrick, is this is the last time I dabble in politics.

  • i love the dracula moment at 27:13 :D

  • three rather mangy cows, a daschund named colin , and a small hen in its late forties... amazing scripts

  • 15:10 in the election . Very similiar to the FIFA elections today but slightly more honest.

  • Baldrick, do you have any purpose in life beyond the acquisition of turnips?

  • great stuff. I'm surprised that it hasn't been deleted by youtube yet, considering its popular material (as they love to remove popular material). hahah.

  • I'd get a little turnip of my own ^_^

  • People laughed at 'window tax'... but the funny thing is.. that actually existed

  • Mind your own buisiness, you nosy bastard.

  • My all time favorite Blackadder moment is at 04:20! Wonderful timing!

  • @biggles1111 haha. mine is the drop of the tray and sudden reversal

  • @excelbolt That would be the runner up for me! :D Good taste!

  • Watching this in my history class, was fucking class hahah xD

  • Next year, I think I'm running for president as the Standinginthebackdressedstupidlyandlookingstupid canidate.

    Great episode, probably my favorite.

  • lol A sheep in parliament at 3:47

  • hehehhehe 08:50

  • i'll just put fraud and sexual deviance... LOL

  • any history of insanity in the family? Tell you what, I'll cross out the "in". Any history of Sanity in the family? None what so ever...

  • Man, I love the costumes in this series.
