Kate kept flipping on sawyer, and sawyer understood that kate didn't want to be in a big relationship with him, although part of her did. And you misinterpreted the end. They didn't all die. The flashsideways was a representation of the afterlife, or limbo if you like. The FS could also be called a very futuristic flash forward. the sow ended with jack's death, but the ones who survived, lived on.
Kate and Sawyer were perfect for each other. I don't know why they changed their story line. When they changed the story back to Jack and Kate it didn't work.
It should've ended Sawyer and Kate, Jack and Juliet. Then we'd all av been happy. Even though they all died in the end anyway!!!!!!

I have only watched a litte bit of Lost. I personally have to agree with some of the comments, Kate was written as a weird at the end. I watched the pilot on christmas day.Kate was a villian but she was to be really admired. The writers should have kept her with Jack or Sawyer. I think the fact that she was involved in killing juliet and almost straight away got romantic with jack, turned a lot of people on the character.

I'm confused about how Lost ended. Were they all in the church because they were all meeting in heaven, and the island was like their purgatory, so they all really died in the plane crash and then left hell when they died on the island? That's what I've heard, but it wasn't clear and didn't fit quite a few events in the last six series. Although it was confusing, I was pleased with the drama of the end but it's a shame about Kate and Soya.
Everything that happened on the Island did happen, they did NOT die in the first plane crash. The church was a place they all created to find each other when they died to move on together.
Everybody dies sometimes. Some we saw die like Boone, Charlie, Jack, ... others died long after the events on the Island like Sawyer, Kate, Hurley, ...

Sure they went through some serious shit, but the fact that they remained in love with each other through it all was great. The drama added to Lost's greatness. the end of lost was mad all about who kate was going to end up with.
they ruined kate by making her really cheap. 1 minute she was making eyes at jack, then sawyer. In the middle of it there was juliet becoming really pathetic, telling sawyer 2blow them all up cos she never wanted to meet him.
kate was all over jack then she left him to die and she did it in front of sawyer.
lost would have been better 2 end in s3.

I have only watched a litte bit of Lost. I personally have to agree with some of the comments, Kate was written as a weird at the end. I watched the pilot on christmas day.Kate was a villian but she was to be really admired. The writers should have kept her with Jack or Sawyer. I think the fact that she was involved in killing juliet and almost straight away got romantic with jack, turned a lot of people on the character.
jack, kate& sawyer were all great characters to start with.

I'm confused about how Lost ended. Were they all in the church because they were all meeting in heaven, and the island was like their purgatory, so they all really died in the plane crash and then left hell when they died on the island? That's what I've heard, but it wasn't clear and didn't fit quite a few events in the last six series. Although it was confusing, I was pleased with the drama of the end but it's a shame about Kate and Soya.

Everything that happened on the Island did happen, they did NOT die in the first plane crash. The church was a place they all created to find each other when they died to move on together.
Everybody dies sometimes. Some we saw die like Boone, Charlie, Jack, ... others died long after the events on the Island like Sawyer, Kate, Hurley, ...
I honestly don't see why people where confused: Christian explained this to Jack in the last scene.

ridiculous. Kate and Sawyer went through all this together and then they forgot about each other, it did not follow up with the rest of the story.
The church bit at the end of Lost was the most cringly piece of Lost. Kate and Sawyer were prepared to die for one and other in this scene, their feeling were intense for each other, there is no way they could ever be wiped out.
The end of Lost was a rush job.

Sure they went through some serious shit, but the fact that they remained in love with each other through it all was great. The drama added to Lost's greatness. Sure it was frustrating at times, but that was probably the point.

yeah a lot of people stopped watching when the time travel thing started. i only watched the end coz i saw a commercial calling it the tv event of the century, but it was a let down. it was mostly about jack and he looked even more mad.

i started watching lost when i was 12 years old. i loved kate until she got off the island. when she got off the island she started to live with the crazy old doctor. he got pissed every night while she kept boasting about her son, which was Claire's son. then jack got jealous one night and told her Aaron was not her son and she took Arron to Claire's mom, who thought Claire was dead.
kate got really weird when she was off the island with jack.
jack was a suicidal lunatic.

If I wrote Lost, I would have done it all different, but there is not enough room for that in this comment. But despite how much I love the series, I'm so passionate about these characters that at times I feel the writes just slopped the last couple of seasons all together carelessly. And although I'm happy that Sawyer found love with Juliet, I think he deserved more and should have won Kate's heart. And I wouldn't have made Kate so fickle, she seemed pretty cheap chasing after the hero.

It unbeilable that educated writers wrote Kate the way she was in s4, with Jack lying on oath, aiding her to kidnap a child that belonged to his own sister, drinking and mixing alcohol, attacking kate in front of the kidnapped child and then he pressured kate to go back to the island in order to assist him use a nuclear bomb. then you have sawyer eying up kate and helping jack blow up juliet etc etc.
The characters became very immoral and weird.
