The syncopation and arrangement are not period. but the sind parts are "The Girl i left Behind Me", and a hornpipe, the name of which eludes me right now. both were period tunes played on fifes during the Civil War. All in all an interesting piece of music.

@Remington1875 I have a Uberti Remington 1858 "New Army" in .44 caliber. I'm surprised how accurate it is out to about 40 yards or so. I recovered some of the balls that had been fired and found that they were swaged down to cylinders instead of round balls. I'm sure that must be the reason for the accuracy. A very nice reproduction.

It was from a book called, "Gone to Texas" that the screenplay was made of. I think the main theme is what does a man when his whole world just goes to hell and loses everything and then he does anything and everything to survive and try to return to some form of normality. The American Civil War killed 600,000 people and this sort of scenario happened probably many times as it does in all such horrible wars.
