Silent Hill (My thoughts on the ENTIRE franchise.)

the more i played it the more i liked it, the music the design the characters the game wAS atmospheric, then when i first encounter Pyramid head i was like WTF!!! n when it goes after you n the other girl daaaaaaaamn if i got scare lol... i love this franchise from 2-4 i havent play the first one, hate homecoming and origins

1; my testimony; i got a playstation 2 back in 2007, i played lots of great games and i remember hearing about SH2 but i skipped it ,until a year later i saw it for 20 and then it took me a couple months to play it. WHen i finally go to play SH2 was when i couldnt go to work n stayed all day at the apartment and i didnt have any new games.. i was throwed back by the graphics and shitty gameplay at first but there was somethin about this game that draw me in n i couldnt stop playing it,

Silent hill 1, Just went through this game not that long ago. Brought back some good memories from when gaming was at its finest, looking foward to the collection but not to sure of downpour just yet.

I have to agree with you about Silent Hill, this series brings something that no other survival horror game has brought. The atmosphere, the character design, and the freakin awesome music!! I hope the new one is at least decent. Great, great video HellHound!!!

the series in general sucks for me other then the first one, the first one was the only one i enjoyed one of my favorite games of all time and was my goty in 1999 i like how the first one had like an exorcist feel in other words it's like the scariest game ever made even to this day hell i remember the first time i played that game and u get to the part where your in the school and in the hospital that game was fucking crazy you'll either love it or hate it but you'll never forget it SH1 FTW

OH MAN I can go on about the silent hill series. People have their favorite franchise and I have to say silent hill is mine. the first 4 games were great. I also liked shattered memories even though a lot of people didnt. the game that stuck to me the most was the second one. And i dont know why either. But then i relised it was the plot. I would replay the living shit out of that game. I must have beaten it literally 10 times and gotten all the endings...

1 was awesome. 2 was amazing. 3 was awesome. 4 was OK. Origins was iffy. Homecoming was disappointing and uninspired. Shatter Memories was surprisingly awesome. Downpour looks iffy. Book of Memories makes me want to punch babies.

I wasn't huge on the original Silent Hill, to be honest. I hate to be of popular opinion, but Silent Hill 2 is the pinnacle of the series for me.
