He's gorgeous. I thought that if I ever decided to focus on a larger species, that Ringnecks might be the ones. I'm afraid my american budgies would float down the drain if I had them in the shower with me! O.o I'd be devestated.

HE actually doesn't take baths in this anymore. This is when he was a baby. Now at 2 yrs old he takes & loves his showers with me. 3-4 times a week, sometimes just misting, sometimes looking like a drown rat and loves it!! Me, too!!

this is so cute. it reminds me of my budgie, i used to watch him as he did this type of thing all of the time, and even hold is 'tub' up for him to climb into...

ive had him for 1 year now. he bites the s*** outa me and doesnt let me play with him

I worked with Louie for months getting bit over & over till he did it less & less. Now after a year he lets me scratch him, hold him & loves kisses. He talks 50+ words & phases, new ones all the time. Just work with "Scott" in a room away from his cage. I'd put Louie on my bed w/lots of toys & have him step on my hand & off qucikly, again & again, everyday holding him a few more seconds each day.He bit me a lot but less & less, then not when he got on. Good Luck, it's worth it & you can do it!

Sunny sounds very nice, I'll come visit! Louie is my baby boy & I'm sure he thinks, I'm Mom. LOL We are very close, I would have never thought it possible to feel so much for him! He's really such a joy in our family!

I didn't realize you are Tookie's mommy. He is just great!! I saw him the 1st day I signed on. He is soo much like Louie. How old is Tookie? Louie is 8mths & we've had him since 3mth. I agree irreplaceable. He filled our empty nest!

Tookie is about 6 and a half or somewhere thereabouts. We got him on our honeymoon 6 years ago as a hand raised from a pet store. I would have more if I could, but Tookie is enough for now :)

I agree! Louie gets all my extra time, he;s so much fun and he's finally getting more relaxed being held & loved. He doesn't trust hands but getting to trust me pretty well... finally!!

.... great little pals? no. not my bird. i paid AU$150 for her and paid heaps of attention to her, she bit me heaps. now, 2-3 years later, she has pulled out all her feathers, squarks like crazy and is the most vicious little thing i have ever seen. with a beak that size, it's too late to tame her. even with the thickest garden gloves, a bite from her would definetly hurt. she hats me and i've tried avery thing to stop her pulling out her feathers! any advice? especially on taming her, too late?
