    LMAO.

  • Better be metal!

  • @Radioactivepro30002 Is it metal? =)

  • what i'm like after a heeluva lot of caffeine...

  • guys on crack or COFFEE HIGH !. lol

  • Great on PC but won't connect fully to TV, only one of the three plugs fits into television, and the jack i got with it doesn't fit the TV either. Oh and your PC/Laptop better have 3 headphone sockets like mine or it won't work properly, like I said this doesn't just the one aux lead it has 3.

  • love the review

  • best fucking soundsystem ever bro.

  • Haha better be metal

  • hi i'm just confused in the video it says the sub is 25 watts but when you look on the box it says 70 watts then underneath it it also says 140 watts. I don't understand what's its trying to say can you explain to me what that is suppose to mean please.

    thank you

  • Wondering if anyone can help me, one of the ports on the back of the product is not working. It is the front right speaker that does not work, but the problem is definitely the port because i have tried the speaker in a different port and it works just fine. I'm not really sure what to do because sometimes when i nudge the unit, it suddenly works... I am thinking about taking a look at the inside to see if anything is loose. Any advice would be great, thanks

  • 4:36 wtf? :D

  • @peter1222ify =)))) crazy

  • I don't know is something is wrong with my speakers but i have to turn the knob on the logitech almost three quarters up before I get a sound! Is there something wrong or is it normal?

  • I have these speakers and they're analog. You need a good Audio card to take care of converting the signal to digital, since these speakers can't do that.

  • this idiot dont know anything about the product

  • RIGHT........randy? yeah it better be metal! hahahaha

  • the clarity got better as they turned it up you FOOL

  • When he shows the bit where you can plug in a games console, what kind of cable would you use to get a 5.1 input from PS3?

  • @Zepthire,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, TV

  • @aaronthomasa A TV cable? I meant what kind of cable has 5 different audio jacks that I could use for that :S or is that for the speakers to plug into and this would only do 2.1 -> 5.1 via the Matrix thingy :S

  • @Zepthire sorry i was bein kind of sarcastic but im having the same kind of trouble i have mine hooked up to computer then (on computer light blue 3.5mm jack) going from my computer to the earphone socket on the tv i think its 5:1 but its not true surround sound

  • @aaronthomasa i only use my turtle beaches anyway but that how i got 5:1 on my TV

actually tbh i hooked my vibe sub up to my 5:1 so it now 5:2

  • too bad its already phased out and the upgraded version of this z506 sucks bad move logitech

  • This guy is very unprofessional...pls stop making videos u fool!

  • this guy is such a tool

  • i cant get dolby digital sound with these speakers through a ps3. who else has the same problem?

  • These speakers suck =) lol I can't even hear the side speakers in Rift =)

So I picked up a G623 logitech 2.1 set this guy is a gimmick so are these speakers.

Most surround sound speakers suck unless you pay 400.00 for those 5.1s

  • @MrGimpyLoser G623?? what the hell is that? I cant find these speakers on Google..

  • @spikeman316 sorry it was z623

  • rca jacks are for the speakers retard and the 3.5mm jacks are for the hook ups. its says it right on the back. READ

  • goood :)

  • I'm looking for a super 100 dollar 5.1 sound system. I'm reading reviews all over the place about the x-540's... and these reviews are as old as 2007 (maybe older) I'm under the impression that these speakers are very old and outdated. What are they currently selling that is better (updated technology) but the price that these speakers are?

  • @izlude2 Lol these are really old now Logitech don't show them anymore on their site. I've owned X-530's since 2008 and I still prefer them to newer Logitech speakers as speakers such as the Z506 are really unreliable and sound awful ( my friend's ones died in 1 hour and ive seen alot of youtube vids about the same problem) but they aren't outdated as they sound really good. The real problem is finding one!

  • @SidewaysSemiKolandt Thanks for the info. I was in doubt for a moment there, but further investigation shows they're a real treasure hunt. I'll pick up a set from ebay then :) Thanks again for the reassurance.

  • @izlude2

Speakers haven't changed much in the last 140 or so years that they've been around. They're not like video cards or CPUs. I'm using these right now actually, and they're not bad at all. You won't be able to crush eardrums with raw power, but they're far more than what I'd ever expect for the ~$60-80 AUD price tag.

  • thanks i need 1 for my ps3 u know any that u can suggest

  • x540 vs. z506.... which one is better and which one would y'all pick?

  • this guy talks out his ass

  • Will this work on the ps3

  • @shabzbad not directly, u can use an RCA to minjack adapter but you'd only get stereo sound

  • I love these speakers!

  • STOP SHOUTING

  • stop shouting,bitch.

  • WOLVERINE!

  • Just got it off ebay!!!!

  • @JermaineJHaggerty123 Me too! Just today :D

  • @Flip4life4751 hahaha I LOVE EM!!!!!!

  • gona get this on my next pay check

  • @BananaBean03 same here !

  • lol this dude is crazy

  • I got this system on Amazon for 69.99 w/free shipping. Awesome sound! I love it.

I am very impressed. Does anyone know if I could hook this up to a Philips plasma TV?

  • This reviewer is the most stupid guy in the world. No joke. Those rca connecters definatly are for the speakers to plug in....it says "FRONT LEFT FRONT RIGHT CENTER BACK LEFT BACK RIGHT" right on there.....How much of a dumb a** do you have to be to not see that?

  • THE Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii hehehe iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii hehehe iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii the Wii...

  • how long are the speaker cords

  • "Better be metal!" Ha love it!

  • do these speakers work with Macbook's?

  • Clearer? Is that a word?

  • @ 4:32 WTF???? WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS GUY???

  • @Libbyness WHEEEEE-HEE-HEE-HEE. sounds like his medication just kicked in

  • @Libbyness HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA REALLY WHAT'S WRONG ?

  • @Libbyness yea, i would like to know that (:

  • @Libbyness ROFLMAO

  • @Libbyness he is on SHROOOOOOOOMMMMSSS

  • @Libbyness That is why drugs are not allowed at work....

  • @Libbyness khm..and a wii..

  • Shitty

  • Does plugging the orange and black cable into the sub-woofer to the computer make a sound difference? Cause I only have the green on connect to the sub woofer and sound card.

  • I want to hit this fool at 4:32 - 4:37.

  • i had to make a new cord cause the cord they give you doesnt work like its suppose to

  • could these be a good choice for a recording studio

  • @NGRAVEZ18 That depends on how you want your music to sound. These speakers are just basic speakers, they aren't Studio Monitors. If you want good studio sound, look for KLH Audio. They make some really nice, inexpensive Studio Monitors.

  • I swear this guy is smoking something for the way he acts sometimes lol

  • 4:28~ WEEEEEEEEEHEE HEE HEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!. HEEEE.. Crackhead.

  • WwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeee eee ehee hee heee heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh ee heee heeee heeeeeeeeeee .... the wii....

  • better be metal

  • BRING THIS MAN BACK!

  • Made in China 4:23

  • The reviewer says that the RCA plugs on the back are to plug in game systems, but they're not. They're to plug the speakers in. Look at the labels, it says "Front Left" "Front Right", "Center", etc. Do not buy these if you think you're going to hook up anything but your PC. It will not work. Please vote this up so people can see this.

  • @YKantBobReed My brother has this hooked up to his iPod without using a PC and it's still 5.1 surround sound. All you need to do is to use a 3.5mm Jack To 3 RCA Phono Lead Audio Video AV Cable, and it works beautifully.

  • @torontomapleleafer Yes, but that's an iPod, and analog stereo audio is easy to convert (and he's chosen an unnecessarily complex way to solve that problem).

*****You cannot hook up, in surround 5.1, this system to anything but a PC, unless you have a device that takes an optical input (which is used by both the 360 and PS3), and gives an analog 6 channel output, but at that point the money you saved on this cheap speaker system will be blown on converters and cables. *****

  • @YKantBobReed OMG i know what a dumass!! i saw that and was yelling at my screen trying to correct him.

  • @LtFluffelz You'd think that someone who reviews hardware for a company for a living would be able to recognize basic computer hardware. Whoever provided him his information should not be working for TigerDirect. Someone is responsible for providing false information to encourage hardware sales, and weather or not it's deliberate (though I can't decide which one is worse), it may get TD into trouble.

  • @YKantBobReed LOL i agree dude, its funny cuz, even with the crappy quality of the video, i can even see that those plugs are labeled for the speakers

  • @YKantBobReed retard i own these and you CAN use them for consoles. it comes with headphone jack to rca adapter. headphone end goes in surround sound and rca end is female to accept game systems male end.

  • @JR262133 Seriously people, stop commenting if you don't know what 5.1 surround means, and how it's transmitted. An RCA to mini jack (headphone adapter) gives you analog stereo, not surround sound. Just because cables connect, and noise comes out, doesn't mean it's digital 6 channel surround sound audio. If you turn on Matrix mode you get audio to come out of ever speaker, but not every speaker is providing a discreet positional audio channel. I am not a retard, you are wrong, do some research.

  • @YKantBobReed it seems to me that you were bashing the surround system for not supporting anything but PC.

"Do not buy these if you think you're going to hook up anything but your PC. It will not work. "

that statement is incorrect. you can use the bundled adapter.

Anyways... i can assure you matrix mode has great positional audio. i use it for gaming on my 360, works great for fps gaming. I use real positional 5.1 "without matrix mode"on my gaming PC with Badcompany 2.

    I know real surround!

  • @JR262133 So let people on here know that you cannot get 5.1 surround from a 360, instead of telling people that "it has great positional audio" when playing in stereo. Stereo is from the 50s, it's not the same thing.

Also, the original problem was that the reviewer (in the video) claimed that the plugs at which he was pointing were for a function that they clearly were not. Just because you can create a make shift solution to solve the problem of his inaccuracy doesn't mean it's good.

  • @YKantBobReed you win. i bow down to your awesomeness? either way, matrix mode uses all speakers and i would say has to be better than stereo from the 50's. that aside, you are correct about everything else. i just thought you exagerated and scared a few people away when you said it ONLY works with pc.

  • @JR262133 In that the purpose for buying a 6 channel speaker system is to play movies/games in surround sound, for the primary purpose, this does not work with anything but a PC. Otherwise people would be looking at speaker systems that have two speakers (and maybe a sub-woofer). So I don't think it alarmist to suggest that it doesn't work with a gaming console, because "doesn't work" is basically the same as "doesn't work properly".

  • @YKantBobReed um... doesn't work is totally different as doesn't work properly, and btw, it does work properly. matrix mode was made to make the rear speakers work just like in real 5.1 surround. i can attest to their accuracy in matrix mode because i use them to hear footsteps behind me in any fps. that said, like i said in my other comment, you are correct about a misleading video. but it doesn't justify you saying matrix mode "DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY"

  • @JR262133 I guarantee that you are getting no more accurate sound than out of a stereo TV. The fact that there's also a speaker behind you is telling you that someone is behind you, but because it's not in surround, it's also telling you he's in front of you. The fact that you've been able to use that to your advantage isn't because of the system, it's because you guessed correctly. It is not because you have surround sound. People buy 6 speakers for surround, not glorified stereo. 2=2 not 5.

  • @YKantBobReed agree to disagree? i believe they work great, maybe they don't meet your expectations. Now, i know i did come off as rude in my first comment, but i don't believe the stereo to 5.1 conversion is as useless as you make it ought to be. Whether or not you think matrix mode is enough or not, because your some audiophile douche, is anyone's opinion. The reason i even started commenting was because you said they didn't work at all! which they do!

  • @JR262133 Two things that readers should take from this. I do not own the speakers, and someone who does is satisfied with them. I have to say that I think you're satisfied with them because you have low standards, and that's just going to have to be fine. In this way I can agree to disagree.

The other thing is that it is factually accurate that you cannot get actual "surround sound" audio to come out of them without an output that supports 3 mini-jacks. I.E. no surround from a 360 or PS3.

  • @YKantBobReed none of that matters! you said "It will not work" which is a false statement. everything else is irrelevant.

  • @JR262133 I have a set of speakers in which one of the channels does not play. It's a 5.1 system, so it's missing 1 out of 6 channels. Ratio=0.8333.

I consider this speaker set to be "broken" which, if you don't think me going out on a limb here, is synonymous with the phrases "does not work", and "will not work".

A system playing two channels out of its intended 6 therefor also does not work. Ratio=0.333. If they wanted stereo they would be looking for two speakers, not 5 or 6.

  • @YKantBobReed whether or not your speakers are broken isn't my problem. matrix mode does what it's supposed to. it uses all speakers

  • @JR262133 No, your problem is a functional lack of understanding or logic. I've never claimed that Matrix mode failed to use all speakers, but Matrix mode is based on a legacy technology, one that is likely to be considered unacceptable to those who are seeking a surround system. Given that this system has 5 satellite speakers and a subwoofer, it's safe to assume that viewers of this video are looking for full surround. It does not provide surround under the circumstances in question. The end.

  • @YKantBobReed obviously you know what are you are talking about, but what you don't understand is that none of that matters! you said "It will not work" which is a false statement. everything else is irrelevant." your first comment is wrong. I'm not questioning your intelligence, even though i did call you a retard in the first comment, and you obviously have high standards i guess, but again... NONE OF THAT MATTERS. YOU SAID IT WILL NOT WORK!!!!!!

  • @JR262133 Ohh. Well what I meant was that it doesn't have sufficient inputs to support a PC and 3 consoles (without an additional splitter/switch). That won't work. One runs out of characters, and must often rely on an only semi-accurate phrase to complete one's post. One regrets attempting, so hastily, to inform the public of a glaring problem with the video review. I should have said "it will not work to the standards you likely expect from this device, given the data provided by the review".

  • @JR262133 But unfortunately, as is wont with posts on YouTube, and as I did with my previous post, I ran out of space. Maybe we can be a little more forgiving of semi-accurate phrasing in long posts from now on?

  • @YKantBobReed sure fine with me. i do wish it supported TRUE 5.1 for console though. PEACE!

  • @YKantBobReed noo it comes with an audio rca to 2.5mm jack adapter. u can use consoles on it

  • @BananaBean03 Are we seriously going to have this conversation again? Read the other posts and then you will understand what I meant. I'm not going to baby someone else for being too lazy to investigate.

  • @YKantBobReed yeah I'm sure he's fool ppl who don't know any better

  • @YKantBobReed

Worked for me.... Use the connectors from your PS3 or Xbox and plug them into the back, then hit matrix. Works fine.

  • @TheIEdit ...yeah me too but thats not pure dolby digital sound. all the matrix button does is pan the sound out to the rear and middle speaker?

  • @YKantBobReed I have these speakers, they come with an adapter. Please thumb this idiot down so people don't get the wrong idea.

  • @PowerdByWill I've never claimed that Matrix mode failed to use all speakers, but Matrix mode is based on a legacy technology, one that is likely to be considered unacceptable to those who are seeking a surround system. Given that this system has 5 satellite speakers and a subwoofer, it's safe to assume that viewers of this video are looking for full surround. It does not provide full 5.1 surround under the circumstances in question. Thanks for playing.

  • @YKantBobReed mines work with my tv thats wat a use them on only the odd time the back left wont come on

  • @YKantBobReed you can hook up to a game system, if you are using a tv. you plug the cables into the tv. and in the console setting, (ps3) you go to the sound menu, and switch from where the sound to come from. ive done it with other kinds of speakers, and they all work.

please thumbs this, so ppl can see this too.

  • @dudesranch I've never claimed that Matrix mode failed to use all speakers, but Matrix mode is based on a legacy technology, one that is likely to be considered unacceptable to those who are seeking a surround system. Given that this system has 5 satellite speakers and a subwoofer, it's safe to assume that viewers of this video are looking for full surround. It does not provide full 5.1 surround under the circumstances in question. In short, they do not work (properly).

  • I have these speakers..my two rear satelites work fine, just as does the front center(when I turn the matrix mode), but my two other front speakers, they don't play all of the sounds...like..they somethimes just play a guitar, or a certain mixer of the song file I play..is that noramal?..are they suposto play all the sounds just like my two rear speakers or just some specfic sounds?

    somebody..?

  • just ordered them :) hopefully they dont dissapoint.

  • Hey I have a samsung 32" TV and i am wondering to buy some new 5.1 speaker system ... what do you guys suggest to me and does they connect to a tv or you need a sound card(FOR PC ONLY) ?? Thank you and great review

  • @nicolaiaquilina If your TV has a analog out (where the green plug goes in) then yes it will work fine. However you will have to use the matrix button, but like this guy says in the video it is actually very good. If you want to actually get "real" surround sound (im not expert cause i only use them for my PC) but one way i know of is using a optical out cable on the 360 when using HDMI because you have that extra slot (you'd have to research that if you have a 360) Either way they will work.

  • @sealfate138 Thanks alot

  • £60 - £80 on ebay, if your all wondering :)

  • Ive had this system for a couple years now and sounds so badass playing xbox war games. The only thing I wish I could do was equalize the system somehow

  • The wiiiiii hehehehehe MGM the wii

  • @Hayashirice911 thanks for the advice, i'll be getting them for sure then !

  • @Hayashirice911 ohhh sweet :)

  • Can you diffuse the bass sound? ie I bought these for my ASUS Laptop w/ SRS Labs Premium installed...My question is? I want to use these w/ PC in my Bedroom w/o disrupting my neighbors late at nt., as well as my family...I know that surround that I have wired in my den/dwnstairs & upstairs 30 ft away...I am not disturbed in my room...Is this my best choice? and do I always need the Sub wooofer? Please advise N Thanks In Advance

  • @jetbirdzme you can turn down the bass

  • @HIYAharry there pretty sock speakers , how mich roughly?

  • @deansanhueza They are anywhere from $80-$100. Before you buy them though make sure you have everything planned out i.e where to put them once you buy them and if your computer or laptop is compatible with 5.1 speakers. If not you need to buy a sound card. I have these speaker and I personally love them.

  • so you can connect your ipod to these speakers right?

  • @deansanhueza yes, with the 3.5mm jack

  • Do you ever not shout?

  • These speakers are great

I've got some coupled with a sound blaster extigy (Stand alone mode), and it's just great for gaming as it's Dolby Digital, granted it's not DTS, but it's still true Dolby Digital surround sound, also great for movies and METAL

I couldn't agree with him more, Better be metal!!

  • There was a party at a pub I went too and the pubs speakers couldn't connect to the DJ Kit so I offered to go home and pick up mine (cause I lived near by).

I wasn't sure if they would be loud enough for a whole pub full of 40 drunks but guess what?

There were more than loud enough and saved the night.

Its is insane how loud, small, clear, cheap and awesome they are.

You do not need bigger speakers unless your room is bigger than a 20 by 30ft pub with 40 people talking loudly.

  • @ajrouse3 100euro's
