It would be great to build this kind of guitars, paint them to look like their real brothers & sisters and finally smack them on stage after playing the very first and last song on it. Save the woods, burn Paperguitars!
huge credit for all your effort and time on this project, however a few parts are a bit over-engineered. i love your use of popsickle sticks for edge stiffeners, and your bridge!!
That's beauty! It deserves to be saved. I madea cardboard support for the notebook and then I soaked the cardboard with the epoxy applied with a brush.
For three years I use it every day and does not break. Do it you too with this beautiful guitar!
They're just clothespins holding down the large popsicle crafts sticks. The tuning is kinda weird. I have to spin to tune and then tighten with the bolt so it stays in place. When I make a new one with actual wood, I'm gonna use real machine tuners.
If your career in music fails, although I don't really know how that would happen, you will definitely be a world-renowned architect. This is supremely cool.
Does it play well?

This would be a good form to cover in fiberglass. then it would be strong and last awhile.

hahaha...great job! This is exactly how Fender makes their acoustic line. Only with less attention to detail. ;-P

you put the popsicle sticks in water and they get soft then you can bend them
calebar98 6 months ago
how did you mold the popsicle sticks to that form?

That is awesome! You also must know everything about building a "real" guitar, to be able to build one out of cardboard.

lol, you can easily make an upright 1-string electric bass stick with a long piece of wood, an eye bolt, and a cheap piezo.
