  • Does it play well?

  • @mrdaltofrevr2

    surprisingly yes

  • i want to see that thing get wet xD otherwise cool

  • @REX05011

    wet t-shirt contest?

  • It would be great to build this kind of guitars, paint them to look like their real brothers & sisters and finally smack them on stage after playing the very first and last song on it. Save the woods, burn Paperguitars!

  • i wouldnt have da patience for did but nice jobe by tha way

  • O.o WOW! urr goood! :)

  • This would be a good form to cover in fiberglass. then it would be strong and last awhile.

  • hahaha...great job! This is exactly how Fender makes their acoustic line. Only with less attention to detail. ;-P

  • OMG this was the coolest vid i ever watch! Amazing work u did on that guitar

  • huge credit for all your effort and time on this project, however a few parts are a bit over-engineered. i love your use of popsickle sticks for edge stiffeners, and your bridge!!

  • I just threw away the guitar just now. I need more space for guitar projects xD

  • How did you make the bridge?

  • you put the popsicle sticks in water and they get soft then you can bend them

  • how did you mold the popsicle sticks to that form?

  • That's beauty! It deserves to be saved. I madea cardboard support for the notebook and then I soaked the cardboard with the epoxy applied with a brush.

For three years I use it every day and does not break. Do it you too with this beautiful guitar!

  • I remember the build thread for this on RR. Good job on this build S-13

  • what is the thing that you use in 0:26? i'm trying to make one for me too. how does the tuner pegs actually work?

  • @smkkklia

They're just clothespins holding down the large popsicle crafts sticks. The tuning is kinda weird. I have to spin to tune and then tighten with the bolt so it stays in place. When I make a new one with actual wood, I'm gonna use real machine tuners.

  • That's leet

  • Make a video on how it sounds, already : O

    We're dying in excitement

  • @gutenschneider

strings got old and snapped :/

I have a table saw now, so now I want to build one out of scrap wood :P

  • uhh dude how does this work does it even resonate good.....tuning and sound....like the challenge though love the vid

  • guitar like SkyWay and Sounder...

  • Dude! You are sooo my hero! I used to build stuff out of cardboard all the time when I was a kid. Never occurred to me to try this! Great job!

  • i'm with you on using cheapest possible materials and at same time maximizing the sound...see my home made at ddanze

  • i made a gibson explorer inspired acoustic guitar in my garage. it accually looks more like a esp ex 401.

  • Demonstation onegaishimasu. I really need to hear some cardboard licks. Thank you for your hard work!

  • Post A Demo!!! please!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ht448

I've been busy with volunteering and stuff, I should be free by this wednesday

  • Must be REALLY light

  • @Kingddd333

pretty much the same weight as a regular acoustic

  • i love this idea and your new guitar ;)

  • love it, wanna hear how it sounds. Like the sound holes \m/\m/

  • Ha.....I like it......Thinking out side the cardboard box...check out some of my builds

  • i wouldnt use that one around a campfire:P

  • demmo it! hah hah great work

  • I'm amazed. I recall Taylor guitars built one out of a wooden pallet just to see what could be done...but cardboard? Wow!

  • DEMO!!!!

  • If your career in music fails, although I don't really know how that would happen, you will definitely be a world-renowned architect. This is supremely cool.

  • Nice job! Does it sound decent?

  • @harkatmulds9

    surprisingly yes

  • Demo Please!

  • that's really cool dude. how's it sound?

  • That is awesome! You also must know everything about building a "real" guitar, to be able to build one out of cardboard.

  • @imaumbn

yah I pretty much improvised the steps on how to build a real acoustic when making this

  • @DUY1337GUITAR about how much does it cost to buy/ build this?

  • Holy crap! This is unbelievable! You're a genius, man!

  • Cool!

  • Woow !

    That's awesome work.

  • Dude, I really wish I was good at this kind of stuff like you are.

  • @DeathWish1331

lol, you can easily make an upright 1-string electric bass stick with a long piece of wood, an eye bolt, and a cheap piezo.

  • holy shit!
