  • He like to add beer to his cereal SNAP, Crackle,BURP!

  • You Tube...best thing since sliced bread....fantastic....

  • Absolutely great rare footage of George Reeves doing a Kelloggs Corn Flakes commerical. Never saw it before. Thanks for posting it. I was a great fan of Superman on TV when I was a kid.

  • wish that history could've wind itself (almost 52yrs ago this coming June) & bring back The MAN of STEEL George "SUPERMAN" Reeves to life again! =0\

  • Toni never came in any making? They could've got the compare of who's line is it anyway to play george reeves in Hollywoodland he would've been perfect fitting match since he looks the exact

  • I want behind the scenes superman

  • wish i could of saved George Reeves a good person and my hero (SUPERMAN)

  • Very cool.

  • Interesting footage...seeing him with the camera reminds me of my Dad and his filming us as toddlers. Looks like he and my Dad also had graying in common too. Still very sad he was gone way too soon. As far as I am concerned George was the real and only SUPERMAN I ever knew...in addition to my Dad of course!

  • "Arch, you're putting on weight" lol

  • This was the prototype of a "Kellogg's Candid Reporter" commercial that was intended for "THE ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN" (which was originally sponsored by Kellogg's during the '50s). It got no further than this 1955 "test footage". By this time, George Reeves' hair was thinning AND turning grey- and he had to dye it every time he appeared as "Clark Kent"/"Superman".

  • @fromthesidelines Thanks for the backstory.

  • poor george reeves, and christopher reeve; they HAD to play the role of Kal'el..they died horribly, as to others that played Kal'el---Christopher Reeve didn't duck when the horse jumped..he wasn't typecaset as george reeve...i didn't know Reeves was GRAY THOUGH

  • @49jubilee Yes, he was aging...in an interview with Jack Larson (Jimmy Olsen), Jack mentioned that George Reeves was tired of the role, "his hair was turning white and he had to paint it", and hated the damn costume.
