These two couldn't do any of that and they would even be able to gear up the courage to contact their deadbeat father for financial help who may eventually come to the rescue and treat Dee as his favorite.

"All in the Family" is my favorite classic sitcom. Archie Bunker is my favorite all time tv character but everything I say about "What's Happening'" is true LONG TERM. If Mabel was to drop dead of a heart attack after coming home from a long day of work as a maid as these two kids are jerking around, the life blood would be sucked out of them. They couldn't survive. They don't have the maturity.
