hey ShearluckStudios, are you rinning 3.0 GM? i'm also on GM, but the challenge gets from ipt 2g to my ihpone 3g in a minute or so. I don't know what's wrong do u know what is the problem?

Idk whaat the problem is . I think either you have a bad connection on the device recieving the notification or it is the notification servers themselves. I spoke to someone from Apple and they said even with hundreds of more apps and milltions of more people connected to the push notifications server, the recieveing of notifications will be slower but unnoticable. Keep trying. Just be lucky that you recieved the message

hey this is weird: when i send a challenge from my iphone to my iPod touch, it arrives the same second, just like on the video. However, on the other way around it takes up to 5 minutes. Perhaps my ipod touch is faulty or I downloaded a faulty 3.0 gm.

i think from what i read online its cuz u have a 1rst gen unlocked iphoen like i did till i upgrade. whe u upgrade from that i think it screws up in 3.0

this is if you have [BOLD] iPhone OS 3.0 !!!!!!!! [/BOLD] so the menu doesn't show up on your device cuz you maybe are running 2.2.1

if you open taptap revenge 2 it asks you wheter it's allowed to use push notification. after it is shown in the settings ;)

Does e-mail use the push notification service or is it still a background process?

e-mail is still fetches or pushes depending on what account you are using. Only 3rd party apps use push notifications.

These notifications seem awesome especially for gaming or im apps, but I don't want to be forced to accept.

Yeah pretty much all you can do now is immediately press the home upon the app launching. This is something the developers needs to fix.

Yeah it does directly open to it. If u are using the phone as you get the notification, you have the option to view or close. It seems when the iPhone is in sleep mode, it does not give you this option as seen in the video. I think this is something the developers of the game can eventually fix.
