@xOmniCloudx No, this isn't "epic" by any means. "Epic" would be a kick sending that T-Rex into orbit for the next fifty years or so... and maybe, perhaps not missing the kick.
The kick, as is, is just nice. Not more than that.
@crisisded LOL. It's funny that you think that makes sense. The man kicked a T-Rex on instinct without fear and hesitation. That very act is indeed epic. Have fun being the only one who doesn't think so and also fails at knowing what epic means lol
@xOmniCloudx As a matter of fact, I do know what an epic is; it refers to a long composition depicting a series of great achievements. And while kicking a T-Rex might be cool or awesome, it is not, by any means, "epic". Especially when said "epicness" is followed by the equally "epic" running to one's car like a chickenshit and driving away from the T-Rex whom he just kicked.
Now if he stuck around to actually FIGHT the T-Rex full-on, that would be an epic, but as it is, it's not epic. Sorry.
While you are right about the definition of "an epic", the fact is that in today's world, the term "epic" is commonly used to describe something exciting, cool, or impressive. It doesn't matter how powerful the kick was; Tommy ROUNDHOUSE KICKED A T-REX. That is cool.
Also, why is Tommy running away so bad? First off, he was unmorphed. Second, even in morphed form, I doubt whether a Ranger could take on a freaking T-Rex, since regular-sized monsters are enough of a challenge.
@JMDub89 True, but then people tend to overuse the word "epic" that they can't tell the difference.
Tommy kicked a T-Rex... okay, fine. Made for a nice visual, possibly even cool, but still not epic. If he had played around the T-Rex a bit before making a run for it, that might have been a bit more impressive. After all, isn't this the same guy who once rode a living dinosaur skeleton to pull out a bone? That's probably the closest thing to epic that Tommy has been in... canon be damned.
@JMDub89 Last time I checked, COLE was the one who rode a bike into Serpenterra and blew it up. All Tommy really did was bring some Red Rangers together and did a few kicks on some Cogs and generals. Unless he had something to do with the moon having an atmosphere... which I doubt.
True, but that was a stupid ending and the only thing bad about the episode. The original ending was suppossed to have a bunch of old Megazords come and fight Serpentara, but that was scrapped because 1) They ran out of money, and 2) Disney refused to hire anyone outside the company to work the CGI. Cartrer only destroyed Serpentara with the motorcycle to advertise the toy.
Also, like you said, Tommy is the one who brought all the Red Rangers together, which is what ended up saving the day. If it wasn't for Tommy, Cole would never have destroyed Serpentara.
@JMDub89 Actually, if it wasn't for Andros doing all the intel and informing Tommy about the rumblings on the moon, then Tommy wouldn't have assembled the Red Ranger team to begin with. In fact, it's been stated that Andros spent years trailing Venjix before he stumbled across Serpenterra. It's possible that he met Tommy during his investigations and soon collaborated afterwards. I doubt Tommy had a "feeling" one day that there was something going on on the moon and sent Andros to investigate.
@JMDub89 At the end of the day, each Ranger did their part in that campaign... Andros did the intel, Tommy did the gathering, Carter did the collecting, Leo brought the Aquitian, many Beetleborgs were lost, and Cole drove the bike in the mouth of the serpent... dumb ending or otherwise. Each were a cog in the wheel that got things rolling. It wouldn't have mattered who was involved except for the one guy whose season was currently airing... the results would have been (more or less) the same.
I want to say this is why Tommy is greater than Chuck Norris!

Oh please. That kick clearly missed. Good effort, though.

@crisisded It's the fact that was his first instinct that makes this epic.

Tommy has been a Ranger longer than anyone else. His run throughout several seasons can be interpreted by some as "an epic".
At least we can agree the kick was cool regardless
Also, Tommy riding a living Dino skeleton is the most epic thing he's done? What about "Forever Red"? :)
