160 mph V 170mph ( 10mph of a difference at these speeds is alot, how much extra power does a car need to generate to have a top speed of 170 mph against 160mph . . .alot ) )

Top Speed of E36 M3 is 155.3 mph . . . so there is a difference

An M3 is a supersport BMW, the top of the 3 series range . . . .A Yamaha Fazer 1000 is a sports tourer, its not the top of the range, The R1 is, R1 is a more powerful bike with a much HIGHER top speed and greater accelaration at high speeds.

Its the same engine block as an r1 but it is detuned, different cam & gears
