I saw this band last Saturday night. They kinda seem like the Monkees. Adorable parody dressed in floppy hats, singing beer songs for east coasters.

@0088aa - Oh yeah!!! Listen, everythings a chain....one could say your Mr. Segall is miming the Sonics or Stooges...but you wouldn't mention that, would you. Or, you wouldn't mention that the Black Lips already had five or so albums by the time Ty Segall came out...how can you mime the future? To speak of the truth...you've got to know it yourself.

@608foreva - "It's just music." -exactly the kind of attitude bred by generations of pop-shit radio and mtv. Early Black Lips are some of the best examples of rock n' roll primitivism. I wholly defend my use of exclamation points...they were compared with the Monkees!
