As a black man who claims to love the God of the Bible (that includes the Old Testament), how does Trip reconcile the God-endorsed slavery in scripture? I'm always curious to hear about someone who loves God, while having ancestors who were slaves. Personally, I'm against slavery and don't believe any human should own another as property, so I'd like to know why Trip worships someone who condones it.

@SubconsciousGatherer Well, the scripture speaks of "hired servants", not that they were forced into slavery at the time and masters were commanded to not harshly deal with them. Deut. 24:14; Lev. 25:43 Historical accounts speak of people willingly giving themselves into service to usually pay off some kind of debt.

You're allowed to beat a slave to the point of near death, and as long as they get up from the beating within 2 days you are OK with the Lord. Was creation just randomly set in order for no reason? No, there had to be a Creator behind it all.

Demons can't be measured scientifically, why, because they're not tangible or visible, but they ARE real. There's nothing science/reason/nature can do about demonic possession. Through God's word, he speaks of prayer and fasting. There has got to be natureal explanation."
