This rave was probably one of the best raves I've been to. This summer was incredible for Insomniac. The Electric Daisy Carnival took place two months earlier at The World AG Expo in Tulare, California then Nocturnal Wonderland at The Empire Polo Fields in Indio, California. I actually own the two official footage documentaries for these two raves. The days of the true techno die-hards.
THANK YOU for posting this! this brought back many many memories. i only have old pics of me and my friends at EDC2000, and to see it in videos is just great! reliving the moments. can never beat that SOFT, groomed grass on the polo field!!

On a whim we decided to track down south from sf to attend. Got there just after midnight. For me the defining moments were when Donald Glaude played a track with a helicopter sound and I could've swore that one was taking off from behind the stage. After that, was Uberzone who dropped Sweet Dreams and that was sweet. And then the sun came up. "wtf... we're surrounded by mountains" and then we danced all morning in the parking lot. fucking awesome. Could be my #1.
Thats was one fun ass rave, I have like an hour long video from the parking lot, everyone looking like zombies and me frying balls trying to inteview people. Funny as hell!! great times though!!

It could be but I was going off my own experience. I was going to rave's in 99-01 and they were off the hook as far as vibe, but i went to one last year and the vibe was not as good but the dj's and the sound and the production was on a whole another level.

I went to 1999 v1.0 last night and the crowd died off early it seemed...TILL MARS FINAL SET! :) The sound was great and we had a blast...Not nearly as many Kandi Kids than in 99 and I went to my first one in 6 years last month and thought the same...Good energy, but doesnt compare to the early days of Hardcore kandi kids galore and energy through the roof! LOVED IT! It WAS off the hook last night though!

I remember so well back in the days.. It was so genuine and people were just super nice. Now we got kids and wannabes.. I just old school people are back again. I was so glad to bump into them at Monster Massive. :)

I remember I was in that Rave Store on Melrose in West Hollywood in 2001/ There was an official VHS Video Nocturnal Wonderland 2000/ Im pretty sure this is from that same tape. Damn I wish i would have baught that tape. Ive looked for it on Ebay , Somewhere out there someone has this on VHS!

this had to be the climax of raving before it went straight commercial, it has never been the same as it was back then. I feel we were all Virgins on the scene and now of days the scene looks more like a Raped Whore. Rest in Peace, those days were sweet.

if your talking about the ssong that starts at 1:40 its called TIME by Paul Oakenfold, off the cd Traneport. It was one of my firts cd's. And i was there, i caught him life. Nocturnal was one of the greats raves ever. la8er

I have so much footage from that night. I need to pull it out and go over my footage...I had three cameras shooting on all the stages. What a great night though. I remember even FOX came out that night with their big satellite truck and they even portrayed it in a good light.
