  • I like your introduction! well done

  • First heard this on the Juke box at the corner of Warren and Cass at WSU in the D in 1968. I should have been in class but this was my education.

  • 2 people have no soul.

  • I owned the LP Maggot Brain and along with the epic title song, this is my favorite. It's like Sly and the Family Stone, Hendrix, and a little Curtis Mayfield,...and ofcourse the Godfather, Mr. James Brown. mean riff.

    thanx for posting.

  • Damn My Cousin Tibiafinger Got Dat Jamm.

  • WoW big PROPS 2 FunkmassaVip FOR THIS GOLDEN CLASSIC!

  • Billy Bass > Bootsy.

  • Thanks for posting this hard to find classic!

  • Mmmmmmm So nice!!!! It took me some time but I got all the Funkadelic LPs, and all the Parliament LPs... The most I paid for one was abot 125 buck (or so)... Keep on FUNKIN'!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow,this is some deep rooted music.

  • Bernie and Eddie were (and are in Bernie's case) sooooooo extremely talented it's unbelievable. My dad actually managed Bernie a couple years back and I've seen him play live numerous times, been backstage with him, and even performed with him on one occasion (I'm 14 now, I was 11 then). It's horrible that neither one of them were given much credit for their musical genius.

  • Bernie is the man! Is there funk after death? Is seven up? Damn right there is.

  • this song is just sick!! soo many drugs...

  • Dirty, dirty, funk.........

  • how could you forget bootsie collins the bassist!

  • lol i wasnt funky that day lol

  • Not BOOTSIE, is BILLY BASS NELSON...

  • i hate the fact that this didnt continue, who cares about George clinton, the music was what was real Eddie Hazel, Bernie Worrell, sheesh man, that other bassist i forgot,

  • Your joking right, it's BOOTSY COLLINS!

  • Actually, that was BILLY "Bass" NELSON--and not Bootsy--on "Hit It And Quit It". (but, yea, that IS Gary Shider--his FIRST Funkadelic Album appearance, 1971--16 years old!!--singing backup to BERNIE WORRELL's Lead Vocals!!). In other words, with the exception of Gary's addition, this is the LAST album of the real FUNKADELIC Band: Hazel, Ross, Fullwood, Nelson, and Worrell.

  • booty call anthem........lol

  • OOF!!! when the whole thing comes in! it's like a shot :D

aye kids now don't know funk from their arse hole.

  • I just can't get over that groove! This is the definition of funk.

  • beam me up,freaky and funky!

  • 1971

  • Thank you, I was actually about to say this.

  • yeah brother

  • Thank the gods for George Clinton and his P-Funk empire. Eddie Hazel should be a household name like Hendrix

  • Wow, I wonder who will carry on. Making reference to, when George, passes from the earth, taking the funk, to the next level. He would, have to be, a bad mutha! This man's footprints, are huuuuuuge!

  • Is there a next level?

  • Only time will tell?

  • true dat, but BILLY BASS NELSON is singing lead on this one, not GEORGE, BERNIE WORRELL on keyboard solo

  • I think I love you.

    5 Stars.

  • lol wow......dont know how to reply too that comment....thx 4 listening!
