  • This was the last thing I expected to hear... very interesting :)

  • @SebaRasta, you're not a musician I suppose. Why don't you measure the notes and how Richard Clayderman's fingers runs through the keys?

  • ahahaah great version, funky Gershwin!!!

  • [iminent=p10KzlR59l2]

  • Very fantastic. I could hardly believed such a very good performer and great pianist of all times.

  • We love the rearrangement.....brilliant....he's a great pianist....

  • I know Clayderman sucks as a pianist but I love his songs anyways.......however, this was a murderer! Horrible version

  • O.o on razon dicen crossover jazz, que atropello, y esa armonia toda basica :'(

  • ASCOLTO RICHARD CLYDERMAN DA QUANDO SONO RAGAZZINA: LO ADORO! CHI AMA LA MUSICA RISPETTA ANCHE ALTRI GENERI. NON TROVO CHE RICHARD ROVINI LA MUSICA . CI DA UNA SUA INTERPRETAZIONE.E' FORSE COSI SBAGLIATO?ABBIAMO 1000 VERSIONI DI QULASIASI GENERE MUSICALE DI QUALSIASI FILM. COSA C E' DI MALE?CONTINUA COSI RICHARD . SEI SEMPLICEMENTE GRANDE

  • Fantasztikusan játszik !

  • i just most piece Music from Richard Adelline, infact my son start play hes music.

  • Sorry... simply cant understand the hype. any serious musician will diss this as crap. i mean, its fine to do your own version, but the way non-musical people crowd him is just... grr...

  • Love this version of rhapsody in blue, and love it when he flicks his hair, it just looks funny lol

  • i like Richards rhapsody in blue song better than any other pianists because their songs are just boring but richard puts some cool jazz and more style to it

  • lol, I love the disco style, it was funny to listen to

  • hayy..im so inlove to you RC..hehehheehe.. love the music an ur eyes

  • my lord J.C.

  • WTF this is the strangest version i have heard before

  • WTF?

  • this is the best music i've heard so I bookmarked it!!

  • BEST SONG EVERRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this the best music i've heard

  • @nenet123 it is your first day with the new cochlea aparatus?

  • I really wish this guy did more classical performing cause he's a great pianist with a a great feel and fantastic facilities. Unfortunately, the music that has made him the best selling pianist of all time is childs play technically for someone of his talent. I know he cause rock Liszt or Rach and sure he does as he was a classical pianist growing up. I wonder if it gets boring for him?

  • This is really good! I like it much better than the original version.

  • richard's rhasody in blue is the best played in the world i hope gerswin played it that way no one can ever duplicate the original no matter how many one practices

  • Only 125 of 1'079'006 didn't like it !!!

  • @MsBorsalino well, I'm afraid that bad taste and ignorance is widespread in a similar relation! the great errors in human history have always been supported by millions!

  • a shere catastrophy the way this person ruins good music! a triumph of bad taste in any sence (including his look!)... if you want to hear how the music was meant to sound, then look for "bernstein plays gershwin"

  • @machiequesto

Go away you BORE!! He is NOT a serious classical pianist. He's a popular pianist like Liberace.

  • @machiequesto It'd unfair to compare them. There is a great difference in age and sound system. People wonder why Jennie C. Riley sounded so good singing, Harper Valley PTA rare video. Some complained that Jennie was'nt actually singing cause there was no mic. Jennie was standing on the mic. Big budget makes all the difference in the world. In defense of Richard, it was Richard that was chosen to play Godfather with the old piano not Berstein who I enjoy as well.

  • FUCK YOU U CLAYDERFUCK BASTERD it is like those hip hop faggots who take a classical song and turn it into some "gimme ass gimme ass gimme ass" song. I'm terribly sorry for George Gershwin, he must be rolling all over 6 feet under. Now what? chopin's preludes into metal? bach into pop?

  • awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!''

  • re-re-re-re-re-REEEEEMIXXXX

  • i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it

  • i like this song do u know where i can find the sheet music?

    funny!!!!XD

  • I just cant take it. its so beautiful. i just cant describe how stylish this song is. i like richards style better than any other person.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • There are many likeable features with Richard Clayderman : his hairdressing, his blue eyes, his colourful jacket etc...I rather like them!

and , yes...if you're interested in the Rhapsody in Blue, why not check Leonard Bernstein or Andre Previn. But beware...not for kiddies, the REAL and Beautiful thing..!

  • think positive. He is a great pianist with good disco background music!!!!!!

  • beautiful. its the best music ever. cant believe people dont like this music!!

  • When I first listened to that version, i thought it was a big joke but i learned to appreciate it. It's different, shall I say. But no matter what, Rhapsody In Blue is just great, period. I love Richard's word anyway so...

  • What a pile of poo!

  • You have to admit that this remix by Clayderman is good. It sounds actually really cool. And I don`t think that Gershwin would mind :) He would fully appreciate it

  • donkey music...

  • What a gorgeous, talented pianist. My mum loved him. She kept playing his records in the 70s.

  • I'm sorry, but keep the awesome original song original, not 60's disco, and crappy disco at that. Not to mention the guy is so tricked out in the video that he looks like a freaking doll. Come'on people, the original Rhapsody doesn't deserve this. I mean, sure he's good, but play the actual thing. Damm.

  • @MeteorMan05 If you want the actual thing, then go look it up.

And as a small side note, disco was from the 70's :D

  • @amumblingmouse Thank you for the obvious clarification. I meant what i said.

  • @MeteorMan05 If you say so

  • Im maing covers by RC, check 'em out please!

  • Im maing covers by RC, check 'em out please!

  • disco era!

  • Soooo cheesy, ultra edited to keep the best bits, and Richard the playboy.... i love it.

  • Oh my gosh I can't stop laughing....

  • Cool!

  • Hahaha! I like it. I'm picturing Gershwin disco dancing.

  • @DrunkenBeard hardly ironic, since this is obviously an easy listening version of the piece, thus rich here is very renowned easy listening artist.

  • Horrible! I can't see what Gershwin ever did to deserve this atrocity.

  • Richard is a very good pianist. You can really see his talent.

  • he just slaughtered a classic

  • he must be one of the richest grade 5 players in history

  • pitticcu su calloni

  • me gusta el estilo musical, ameno y armonioso.para mi clayderman es el mejor. is the best piano player.

  • My favorite song of R.C. !!!

  • This is straight Gangs!! :)

  • Not bad, but i still like the classical version better. It feels like he ruined it somehow.....

  • this is the best version I imitated and my audience loved it. The original version is too slow to appreciate for the 70s up audiences. Richard Clayderman is a great piano player.

  • the fact the man does something that will take me a long long long time to learn to do at that level deserves my entire admiration tanks for that great noise haha

  • Techno usually ruins classics. Oddly, I actually like this twist to Rhapsody in Blue.

  • lol bullshit

  • I enjoy this butchery flymasterA. It's very enjoyable butchery.

  • Che peccato......:-(

  • ARTISTA POR AXELENCIA, DEDOS MAJICOS PARA OIDOS FINOS

  • bella música y bello pianista

  • Expectacular

  • I'm sorry...this is awful! It's not an interpretation. It's butchery!

  • I cant understand Why is it so difficult to accept another interpretation and why should ppl b cynical....this is music....evolution is bound to occur. Richard has a good technic and style.

  • @livingpiano i know what u are sayng...but he has no technic at all.....just chek on a real pianist like A.Volodos.....i have to say that Clayderman knows how to sell his product...but hes not a real musician....he takes real works like this Rhapsody and change any difficult part...thats what i call destruction of real composer´s job....i have no problem with him at all..but i dont like when he does this kind of stuff.....

  • @belialah I wouldn't say clayderman is a terrible piano player. I have a recording of him playing chopin's 1st Concerto and it is by far one of the best versions I have heard. As he grew older, he just preferred this style of music and ran with it. He is still a brilliant classical pianist though, he just prefers to sell this easy listening music, and it's a great way to hook people who don't really understand the more complicated piano pieces into becoming piano fans.

  • @wonphi That's a bit ironic considering that Rhapsody in Blue was actually meant as an introductory piece to classical music for the younger audience when it was first composed by Gershwin.

  • @livingpiano ....the sign of a good musican is when he can take a classical piece and made it his own.....no disrespect to Gershwin

  • @livingpiano good style?? you must be deaf and blind!

  • Richard's original version of "Rhapsody in Blue" is the better of the two versions. Those who have never heard it don't know the difference now. You can't please everyone.

  • I love it. Really different interpretation.

  • Fantastico.... ahahahahhahaaha.....

  • when hearing this i remember bell-bottoms jeans , chuck norris hair and john travolta walk

  • I love it. Really different arrangement-unique.

  • Gutley: You're a cocksucker..

  • I feel sorry for anyone hearing this piece for the first time here! A Travesty! he should stick to pop songs!

  • LOL it's so groovy!

  • R.I.P dear RHAPSODY

  • Magnifico!!!

  • This version should be placed in every audio dictionary under the definition of the word "travesty". No wonder homphobia exists.

  • i agree that this is a disgrace to classical music, but he tried to appeal classicism to the general masses, and he successfully accomplished that. i assure u that any average person will prefer this way better than the traditional way.

  • @alanliuxiaowei But this version, so bad it's not even good, goes way beyond appealing to the masses. Andre Rieux knows how to appeal to the masses. This monstrosity will appeal only to deaf homosexuals. It is beyond forgiveness. Richard Clayderman will go straight to hell for this criminal record.

  • exceptional un pianist care intra in sufletul oamenilor

  • I enjoy the standard renditions of Rhapsody in Blue but I very much like this version. Everyone is entitled to thier own likes and dislikes and their own opinion. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and you could also say that it is in the ear of the listener. What one person likes another may think is no good. I like Clayderman's version of Rhapsody in Blue.

  • Whoa back, this number is about 27 years old and you lot are commenting relatively recently, he did this song/routine all those years ago; so give the guy a chance – at worst it was an opportunist but pretty funky number at the time and opening classical music to a whole new audience, I think your criticisms are a bit premature whist at the same time being bit belated.

  • @bixy72

Having given it a bit more thought, why don't you lot go and fuck yourselves?

  • I don't like it very much but there are people who enjoy listening to classical music this way...so I don't think is a bad idea after all :D

  • horrribleeeeeeee

  • God awful

  • GRAUSAMER SCHEISSDRECK !!!

    Shame on u Mr.Clydermann

  • He is one of many good pianists around the world. To all the critics to stop talking nonsense.

  • I love it. Very different adaptation.

  • What a horrible crock of shit this is.Oh yes my friend, water down pussy version for you acid heads out there so you can play just as shitty as this fabio headed goonbah.

  • arrangiamento mirabolante

  • RC looks not so happy performing this .....

  • I used this vid to convince some people that I know to study Jazz.

I first played the proper version of this composition for them and then In played this crap!

They are all studying music on a different level now!

I used this as a teaching tool.

  • hahahahahaha disco rhapsody

  • you must not blame the pianist...better blame the composer and the arrangers of this music...richard just performed it...maybe some of its contents is altered by himself.

  • I like it, sounds very good, some different, but good , funky souly goodvibesrules........

  • Hey hey commenters, I thought this was quite good! It's catchy and certainly doesn't do the song any unjustice by messing up the melodies or anything! I wish there was an mp3 for this

  • it's starts out ok and then goes terribly downhill from there

  • THE HORROR. a masterpiece like gershwin's rhapsody cannot be reduced by that arrangement

  • This is unbearable.......

  • Quiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiite different...... But still good I think.

  • WTF

  • -.-"i like it... very much...he didn't destroy anything-.-"

  • @ioanarocksyou I think you don't know the masterpiece that he destroyed...

  • @atsaka i still don't think he destroyed anything...

he plays in his own version..

like i do with some piano songs-.-"

  • @ioanarocksyou Now I am sure.

  • @atsaka sure with what?-.-"

  • Man I laughed so hard, thanks for posting!

  • @KickCola me too... =D

  • i always like R.C, but... sorry R.C, you'd better leave this work alone.

  • que bonito

  • I have been listening to Gershwin's great work for quite a while now and I can't recognize the original intention of Gerswhin.

  • Qué poronga!! What a shit!!

  • This is one of the best examples how one can distroy an iconic work...

  • I'm planning my own version of this and I will call it Rhapsody In Bluegrass.

  • As soon as I heard that weird beat come in, I thought, "what the hell is this?!"

  • Haters! You wish you could play like him!

  • WTF is this!

  • this is not supposed to be a funk piece...damn hippies

  • i like the music

but im sure Richard is a gay!

  • wow................... this sux... he totally destroyed the flow of the original by putting fuckin drums in it and guitar.. what the hell
