Now for all of the wanna be mixing engineers. Study this man! He is one of my favorites. Had the opportunity to shake his hand at the AES convention in 2000 or 2001. Really cool guy. Thanks for all of your knowledge Bruce. I should be sending you some checks for all of your teachings on my favorite artist, MJ's album.
Bruce wasn't always supportive of MJ. His comments during the trial were pretty horrid particularly at a time when Michael needed support. I guess after he died it became more financially rewarding to remember MJ in a positive way.
@ricaramone It's probably not just about money. After someone close to you is dead, things change. You suddenly become more aware of your own mortality. You also enter into a state of forgiveness towards the departed.
@JRCrowley True, I'm still unsure if there was ever anything to forgive... Bruce had no problem working with MJ even after he was allegedly told this information. And I'm pretty sure who told him.
Thanks so much for posting!!! It is so nice to know Bruce had been with Michael so long and is one of the very rare people in Michael's life that genuinely cared for Michael and spoke so sweetly about him!!! Bruce thanks so much for loving Michael, staying with him and supporting him!!! Thank you so much for bringing magic to us with Michael, through music!!!
what you created between you as artistes, has changed the world, its perfection refined, and thriller is still the best recorded, and produced album to my ears, to this day, and i have 30 years in the game. thank you so much for showing us the way ,and just how great the humans can be, if they try. grant greenham.
What a lovely elderstatesman of the music industry. To have the same recording engineer throughout ones career is an amazing feat. A salute to the engineer for giving us part of the art of THRILLER, BAD, DANGEROUS, INVINCIBLE. Wonder if he did BL;OOD ON THE DANCE FLOOR AS WELL. Anyone?Anyone? In my best Ferris Beuller voice.
Well, bruce was mikes right hand man when it came to recording. he lived in bruces home several times over recording. which makes sense. all ove MJ's success was centered around bruce, and vice versa. how would you feel if the center of your carreer/world passed on?
It is so good listening to this about Michael from a person who stayed with him since the year of 1977. And a "serious worker" of art. The truth survives to the time... and shows itself on the right moment.

He's left a big hole in my life too, and so I can't imagine being Bruce.

The way he said ''it's going to be a big hole in my life'' just makes me feel so sad. :(
