Kinda Reminds me of Global agenda visually, the 2 guys have armor and weapons like assaults and the girl's looks like the robo's (along side the jetpack, though in the feet and the fact she puts up and monitors the turrets situation)

Actually everything in the cinematic has a reason, the thumper is there to gather Crystite which they need and while it is doing its work it attracts the bugs which they have to kill just like in the game and if you go to the site you can see that they lay out the setting so it makes a lot more sense.
