@irvin2cartel I have been playing this game for 12 years! lol It takes a long time to learn but like anything that is difficult at first the rewards are greater.
@gryffindorhouse122 Thankyou, to photorealpaint you need very high def side on photos of the aircraft (over 3000 x 2000 pixel) and then a top paint program like Photoshop to painstakingly manipulate the photograph
@Gregc320 No not all. I do not make engine sound sets. About half of my panels are completely custom made and half are modifications with extra custom bitmaps/gauges.
This particular one is very much the Level D 767 panel with some modifications.
@edetroit Do you mind if I message you there on UK2000 Forums as I need some help with repainting?? and from what i've seen your are a very good repainter! :)
Help!!!!! Does anyone know where i can download AI traffic for Zimbabwean airlines. i have downloaded sceneries for the busier airports and need some traffic to liven them up. kind regards
ed, you do a great job improving your panels and adding those excellent 2D views, have you considered to sell them? or at least share some of them? if so, send me a private message... I wish we could find good tutorials about how to create those panels, and have access to good bitmaps images for the panels and the cockpit views, btw, nice video, loved the landing, looked so real.
That was was probably the best landing I have ever seen. keep up the good work and appreciate your representation for a wonderful airline and beautiful country.(ZIM)
I just came back from Melbourne, Australia and Bangkok, Thailand. I noticed that Bangkok and Dubai are similar airports. I flew with Thai Airways from LHR of course on a B747 and B777-300. I went on one star alliance Thai B747 on TG911
I do use ASV6 for my real weather, the cloud textures from FEX (There is REX for FS9 now though). The sky and water are freeware files I got from avsim.
A great tip I came across recently is increase you cloud draw distance in your FS9 cfg to 12.
Nice video 5/5 Ed!!! I also have a E8600 Could you help me out on how to overclock it to 4.0GHz or give me some directions? I know you can't share your custom made panels but what about your wonderfull 2d side views?? Thx for the great videos and tips you provide in the comments!!
The company that built my Rig overclocked my E8600 for me. I have no idea how to do it myself. What I have heard about overclocking is that you also need to upgrade your cooling.
have been watching ur videos and they are super..i was wondering if u could make a video on tutorials how to fly from one airport to another. i have tried to learn alot but most tutorials dont help.i just get lost after getting in the sky.any help would be appreciated
Hmmm.. all you need really is a real weather engine (I recommend Activesky....but even a def real weather download would be a great help). Find out which runways are active at both dep and arr airports. Then find relevant charts for both airports...work out your SID and STAR. The route between your SID and STAR can be made up if you do not have a RW flightplan.
It is the departure and arrival that maketh the airport.
I have bought REX but not installed it yet. I think REX 2004 would be a great addition for someone who had not tweaked their sim soooo much. I am happy with my water, runway tex, sky and clouds. I use ASV 6.5 as my weather engine.
If I use any of REX it will be cloud textures. I recently came across a tip that really enhanced my sim though. Cloud Coverage Density from 8 to 12 in FS9.CFG
Thank you, as I did not own something similar for FS9 before (except Real Environment Professional) I bought REX and I am really happy with it. It was a good decision of Tim Fuchs and his team to release REX for FS9 as well.
I forgot to ask you how you manage your TODs. When flying the PMDG 737NG for example I always get to the TOD before MS ATC tells me to descend. Do you simply ignore your FMC and start descending by ATC instructions only?
I do what FS ATC tells me. Remember I do not do vectors.....I always ask for the approach via transitions. In this case FS ATC asked me to descend before my FMS so I did (just make the descent a little shallow both will match soon enough). If FSATC is late I ask it to start my descent.

@Gregc320 No can do. The Bus cockpits are PSS mods so there is a copyright issue right there for starters.
