VAULT DISNEY! Im buying all the shows on dvd because my kids r going to be watchin all the shows I watched when I was a kid so they know what the real disney was like.
I remember when Disney Channel was all about Disney himself and his old pal Mickey Mouse. If Walt were alive today, he'd probably be ashamed of what its become now. It's sad that they don't air the classic cartoons anymore. What happened to Silly Symphonies, Pluto, Donald Duck, etc? I miss those old cartoons! Every child of every decade should be growing up with those cartoons just like we did in the 90's and below.
@StarDr0ps It only made sense to show the cartoons that are at Disney Land and Disney World, 15 years ago Disney channel was recognizable, when you said the name, you automatically thought of Mickey Minnie, and Pluto, even with shows like In a Heartbeat or the Torkelsons it represented family in a good way, educating the kids. Do they still have the Disney logo on the channel anymore?
@StarDr0ps I was born in '99 and I hate Disney Channel. The only reason I do is because there are like 0.0001% Cartoons. They took everything away, the classic Mickey cartoons and everything, even Winnie The Pooh;s new adventures was cool. They wrecked it when the got rid of the old Movies and shows, once the original movies came out they tried to make more original programming which killed the channel. Then tween queens Hannah Montana et al have turned me off, I miss it all...wish they would bring it all back.
I know everybody's getting tired of me saying this, but I can't help it..I miss the old Disney Channel back in the late 90's/early 2000's because it's just like Nickelodeon and it's full of shows that us Gen Y kids can relate to and enjoy and not to mention it's not dumb and stupid like Hannah Montana...I'm 19 years old and I felt really lucky to grow up in a era of my childhood and pre-teenhood that's full of no worries and not shitty and crappy like the mid to late 2000's was as a teenager :)

Yeah I still remember when they used to air the old Mickey Mouse club late at night. Seriously the Disney Channel doesn't even have to do with Walt Disney's characters anymore. It used to be all about it! They used to show all the old cartoons and everything.
According to my memory, It was this block that came after playhouse Disney in i think about in 1998-2000 that showed Disney channel movies and shows like Even Stevens, I think it was the block for older kids. I might be wrong though.

The Disney Channel was great back then. I used to watch "Timon & Pumbaa", as well as "Mickey's Mouse Tracks," and "Goof Troop." The new shows (Hannah Montana, etc.) are good but I will always remember the old stuff.

omg i remember valt disney late at night. that got me into the very old mickey cartoons. when i didn't have skool the next morning, i'd pull all nighters watching vault disney from zorro to the ink and paint club.
This one stuck in my memory all this time too. Actually, it's still there I didn't just forget it. I hope Disney plans on releasing Zorro sometime soon on DVD.
I remember when Disney used to be cool, actually it's because of the late night shows of Zorro and old cartoons why I'm so interested in the era when Disney began you know them simple times <3 I miss it.
I think it would be nice if the teenagers on Disney Channel today, not necessarily get lost, just back off a little OR help promote Mickey Mouse and old cartoons.

Heres a story that'll make you cry, Christmas, I went on youtube to watch some old Mickey Mouse cartoons from the early 30's my little cousins come in and start watching too. I pointed to Pluto and askedthem "who's that?" their response, "UM I don't know." i point to Mickey, they still didn't know, then I pointed to Minnie, they still didn'tknow. I told them Pluto, Mickey & Minnie, litterally 5 mins later I asked them the same question they still didn't know.
That is sad. They're's probably not a single person who does'nt know Mickey He's basically Walt Disney's Icon. That is a pretty sad story. It's all the stupid Hannah Montana's fault.

According to my memory, It was this block that came after playhouse Disney in i think about in 1998-2000 that showed Disney channel movies and shows like Even Stevens, I think it was the block for older kids. I might be wrong though.

The Disney Channel was great back then. I used to watch "Timon & Pumbaa", as well as "Mickey's Mouse Tracks," and "Goof Troop." The new shows (Hannah Montana, etc.) are good but I will always remember the old stuff.

I think it would be nice if the teenagers on Disney Channel today, not necessarily get lost, just back off a little OR help promote Mickey Mouse and old cartoons.
Instead of Hand-Picked Hannah, why not Hand-Picked Mickey Mouse for a change? Or interview people on what their favorite Disney Classic is?

Then I just meant whoever's in charge of Disney Channel ought to think about giving Classic Disney spotlight. I think they really should have something sort of like "hand-picked hannah" with the Disney Channel Stars picking their favorite Disney animated films. So many people would love that, believe me.

Yeah, they used to show Mickey's Mouse Tracks & Donalds Quack Attack. My little sisters have the Disney Channel on all the time...I hardly recognize it! They don't show ANY classic Mickey cartoons at all. what a DISGRACE...Mickey created the Disney empire for chrissakes! & now all it is are mediocre tweenieboppers who think they can act & sing. Compared to the classic & even the 90's MMC, they're crap.

Heres a story that'll make you cry, Christmas, I went on youtube to watch some old Mickey Mouse cartoons from the early 30's my little cousins come in and start watching too. I pointed to Pluto and askedthem "who's that?" their response, "UM I don't know." i point to Mickey, they still didn't know, then I pointed to Minnie, they still didn'tknow. I told them Pluto, Mickey & Minnie, litterally 5 mins later I asked them the same question they still didn't know.

I loved Zoog disney and play house disney (because i was like 5 or 6 at the time now i'm 15) but anyway I hated Disney volt because it was soo boring because like i said i was like 5 or 6 and i couldn't appericiate the stuff like zorro. and this was like the only kids channel i had at the time. i did watch cartoon network and nick but i moved to a new place that didn't get those until some time later.
