The song seems to be related to billy graham, an evangelistic preacher who spoke about the end of the world ('billy didn't tell you everything"). Graham did a 'crusade' in central park, I am wondering if that's why polaris is talking about when they say 'look at him he's shouting at the gates'. Great song! With the amount of work that they had to put into that first accurate calendar, they obviously would have chosen to leave future revisions to later generations of Mayans.

Polaris was just a little name change that Miracle Legion used on the show. The other 3 out of 4 members are straight from that band. Miracle Legions drummer was left out in favor of another drummer (although, I don't know why).
