@8877JayJay You should of been around during the Steam summer camp sale the game was 4.99 US but yeah now would be a good time to get into the game since by time you would hit the current "end game" i.e. have all the best stuff and what not the big 1.1 update would be out, well 1.1 is more of a free expansion pack/DLC then a update since it's all new game extending content

@8877JayJay Glad to hear you enjoy it, it you haven't seen it yet Redigit had posted a 1.1 teaser video on this channel just look for the video titled "Deep corruption" it shows off the new corruption infested caves(corruption can now spread and tainted the whole world now from jungles to the ocean and so on) as well as the new drills, chainsaws, crossbows, grappling hook and so on. Also there are a few other teasers for 1.1 on the developer blogs on the Terraria homepage

@8877JayJay yeah the game can be rough at the start since there's no real direction outside of what you make for yourself, but a good place to start is build a decent dwelling, get some NPC moving in and mine for better equipment after you get around Gold level armor and equipment then just go exploring the surface maybe take down a boss like the Eye of cthulu. Also when in doubt check the Terraria online wiki it's your friend when it comes to what is what in the game anything else pm me

to corruptedbunny1: For the infinite world size, they could set the blocks to load once they're a certain distance from the players, however, I can imagine that it could cause the game to crash, once enough exploration had been done, because it'd be annoying if everything changed while it was off screen, and it'd take an infinite file size for the game to remember what blocks were what, you're right, better not make that world size.

@SkillGive as much as I know Phaseblades can be crafted with them they are powerful and colorful swords, which can be crafted on the Anvil with 20 Meteorite Bars and 10 Gemstones. and they emit light depending on the gems

White - 15 Diamonds

Green - 15 Emerald

Purple - 15 Amethyst

Red - 15 Rubies

Yellow - 15 Topaz
