EXCELLENT setup! I wish more of the current generation of kiddies discovered high-end audio, with real speakers, as opposed to their PC's or MP3 players!
nice setup. I just bought the Debut III also, and have been looking at these cheaper eBay tube Amps but worried they might be junk, or just for show. Mixed comments on them but this to me confirms they are pretty good. think I will go with the Music Angel that has the KT88 tubes
@sdeary1 The gear with the "lightbulbs" are what amplify the sound. The "lightbulbs" are actually vacuum tubes that turn the analog signal of the record into an electronic impulse that the speakers turn into sound. Tubes offer a much "warmer" and fluid sound than traditional solid state amplifiers.
@pitoloco Not true, not true. It will create distortion if, and only if, the speakers are able to transmit vibrations to the turntable, which in this case I would find improbable.
Listening with the lid closed alos protects your records from dust.
@pitoloco look at me, i type in all caps and put people down without cause because i need attention. if you're going to give some criticism or help, addressing some a loser is the best way to go about it.
@pitoloco Look again, but look closely! The lid is propped open it doesn't make contact at any point along the turntable, no distortion or echos but it prevents dust and dirt from settling over the course of its play time. Don't call people losers.
