im making an rc glider (really light one) and towing it up with my super cub, im using the drop module and a hook to release the glider though, i think you should try that out with your setup. for me its just an idea but i need to make a little money before i dive into this project =P
use the drop module to have a hook for the line, you can break it off with just a button, oh but you might want a remote controlled glider. VERY NICE VIDEO!
@AwesomeCoasters i literally tried this 10 minets ago. it works very well. try to use a 15- 20 in. piece of string. i made a slipknot through the loop in the rear wheel. have fun and ah a good place to land cuz the glider may not touch down til after the plane has stopped.

its not really a laugh its more of a hauurggg. lol. the glider better be stable cuz im putting a cam on it right now. If it flips over now im screwed :)
you should put another servo on the piper cub and make a drop rease thing for the glider

Have a RC glider and the parachute drop accessory from Hobbyzone.
Tie the cord to the accessory and when youre high enough press the button to drop it.

Nice, worked better than some of my attempts with towing. I have also towed a profile foam missle behind my f-22 : D

Yeah I thought the glider would cone out behind the cub but it's stable and is a great combo.

Dude that is soo good! I'm surprised how well the glide stays stable all by itself. I would think it would always try and roll over. Very cool man.
