@88crazykure Some DC5's has a tacho with 180 at max. Mines has 260km./h as max.

180 is strange.. because the topspeed is around 240km/h... I think it is japan or so?? There is the 180 lawruled...

EVERY DC5 Type R has 180km/h on the clock. In England you have to put a little box in the car that changes the signal to mph. This is necessary for the mot. This car is clearly in km/h.

The dashboard must be WRONG or some shit. Type R with 180 Max always comes with MPH not KMH. If it comes with KMH then the Max is 220 ! ALso, my base Model 2002 from 1st to 2nd gear it hits 70KMH already and this Type R hit only 60Kmh??? Weirdddddd ! !

@W3KSoS Type- R is JDM as fxxk :P (Japanese Domestic Market) its got a more aggressive tune in both engine and suspension (larger sways, stiffer bushings I think) and lightened up an bunch too (aluminum lower floor bar I think and some other stuff). Not to mention the ITR Style Bronze Headlights, Sidemarkers, Pwr Folding mirror (w/ No heater tho), Stock yellow fogs... theres more wiki it...

@ahmedrazamughal it is..it reaches a top speed of about 235-240 kph..the reason it only shows speeds up to 180 kph is because jdm car are limited to 112 mph-180kph..

@mrdaveoevo thats JDM, australian Type R is only 147kw, where as the Type S is 154kw and has a higher gearing ratio on 4-5-6

@EVLGTR Yes i know, Wish We get the 163-5kw jdm version!! Also the Tare weight is different between type R and S as type S has sunroof n all those leather seats n shit makes it heavy and decreases acceleration timing.

I beleive, say if we put both stock 03'AUS Type R and a 03' US Type S .. the AUS type R would win due of the weight advantage. :)

@mrdaveoevo 60kg differnce without an A/C on a Type R?, not that much difference, all dc5 in Aust are fitted with dealer standard A/C anyway (they were "optional" from Japan).

I'd say its on par. Gearing ratio and an extra 7kw for a Type-S does the job. Track use go for the R and daily for the S but who goes on track every weekend?
