  • Are Mark and Scott alien pigs?

  • 8:23 GOOFY HOLLER

  • 2:20 GOOFY HOLLER

  • 8:04 I've seen enough hentai to know what's happening next...

  • Mommy!!!!

  • 4:14 I know the feeling. I too have no control over my attitude when my car runs out of fuel - and thus can never be a spaceship pilot.

  • Dying from having your hand burnt off? I know people who can survive without a hand.

  • @Rainbowdragon2 It's the shock that does you in. Plus you'd likely pass out from the pain and then death would come in one way or another.

  • I wonder how did they got away with showing that graphic photo at 9:30 without getting any media controversy.

The Space Quest collection release is rated Teen for Animated Violence and Comic Mischief but I wonder how it didn't have Animated Blood&Gore on the descriptions. I actually got it for my 12th birthday the same year the Windows XP compatable release came out and the Space Vaccum and Melting acid deaths made me hoped out of the chair fast. I'm not scared anymore at age14currently 16 now

  • That death sound effect + music is hilarious

  • Comment removed by Scott and Mark's lawyers

  • MrWhitman, I wanted to thank you. I never heard of Space Quest before, but after randomly watching this video I bought the collection on Steam. I just hope I didn't spoil too much by watching a few minutes of this.

  • 2:20 XDDDDDDDDDDD I LOVE THIS GOOFY SCREAM! XDDDDDDDDD

  • The music after every death is awesome

  • 2:45-3:59.....

    Amazing

  • YOU DIDN'T BUCKLE UP. WHAT THE FUCK DUDE.

  • @somedaythewave Your failer to buckle up when the ship lunch you where lunch with it out the window!

    Good job hero....

  • I found a shop nearby that has a set of original 5.25 disks for SQ1 up for sale, along with tons of other retrocomputing goodies!

  • 2:56 "Man, hyperspace always look so freaky" XD

  • 6:36.... Heavy?

  • why does this look ALOT like space quest IV?

  • @TheSonicWarrior Because it's the vga Remake of SQ1, made with the same engine as part 4

  • 2:20 LOL its Goofy's scream xD

  • 8:15 "don't stop now. We're having so much fun watching you."

That's what I want to tell Sierra and all the people who record these amusing videos... Oh! I guess this includes you! Thanks for play..errr..uploading!

  • Terran Empire symbol at 1:35

  • I remember owning the original game of this... such fun times :D it was one of the first games I remember playing as a wee lad.

  • Conquests of Camelot lol!

  • @BeWaTer99 Wrong! Conquests of the Longbow lol!

  • is that supposed to be roger at 2:36? it doesnt look like him, it looks like some three eyed alien or somthing.

  • No, it's not Roger. I think it's an alien mortician.

  • The vacuum death is actually a myth which, we have evidence which shows that in said event all the air would be sucked out. Fortunately you don't explode but it's most certainly an uncomfortable experience having the air sucked from your lungs.

  • Actually, it'd be like being freeze-dried. There's no heat in a vacuum, and on top of that, no air pressure to hold your body together, so your body would crumble to dust and be frozen to absolute zero.

  • @72Yugimaster Uh, no, no it wouldn't because unless you're somewhere in the intergalactic void, space is far warmer than absolute zero.

  • That instant replay is awesome. Now I want to play these games again. Good thing I got the Space Quest collection on Steam when it was on sale!

  • Wait... what? The game killed you for not buckling up or did I just miss something there?

  • Yep. If you don't buckle up, you get killed. If the launch of the shuttle didn't kill you, the crash on Kerona would.

  • WHat makes it so Roger screams when he falls or puts his hand in acid? The What not to do video had none of that.

  • lol at him screaming at 8:23 :P

  • That instant replay part is actually something they added? Holy shit.

  • Do you also make a "Ways to lose" thing for the original? I couldn't find one.

  • Unfortunately no, I don't have the original.

  • Why not?

  • It didn't come with the collection that I bought years ago.

  • What was the collection called?

  • Darned if I remember. I think it was just Space Quest Collection.

  • When did you get it?

  • I got it over ten years ago. It didn't even have Space Quest VI.

  • I got mine 10 years ago and it had both the remake of the first one AND VI.

  • I said OVER ten years ago. I had to buy Space Quest IV seperately. It's obvious that the one you got wasn't the one that I got.

  • Right. Sorry.

  • Of course, it's not like you were missing much.

    Oh-HO!!

  • Its just simply called space quest collection.

I wanted it for christmas but when i got it i realized i suck at Sierra quest games, At least I got quite far in Space quest III

  • The Space Quest Collection I have has both versions.

  • If you want to see the deaths in the original Space Quest 1 see: Roger Wilco Dies a Lot in Space Quest 1 .

  • Thanks, but I already saw that and feel not all the deaths were there.

  • It's all of them.

  • Whats with the 2 guys from Andromeda being there?

  • the remakes don't look so bad

  • you don't actually explode in a vacuum. You just die after the air is forced out of your lungs and you suffocate.

  • Hahahaha I love the clever remarks the game gives you right before or after death.

  • I love the music that plays while you're in the escape pod (and not having pressed the Auto Nav button). Love the music in the Orat cave too!

It's funny how Roger's outfit is different in the death message matching what he was wearing at that time, when the Grim Reaper is holding him in his bony hand.

  • they really know how to be assholes and tell you how much you suck in this game, lol

  • 8:20 onwards - Funniest stuff ever. :P

  • 8:27

gotta love how the game sits there saying somthing along the lines of "why did you do that, you fucking idiot!" for around a muinute.

  • I ment that in a good way, guys. Just so you know.

  • Poor Wilco

Cursed by the hands of MrWhitman xD

    Good videos

    Keep going

  • Love the Goofy holler.

  • Comment removed

  • 2:20 : OMG, he shouts just like Goofy !

  • AAAAAAAA HA HA HA HA HOEEEEYYYYYYYY! i love it!

  • Death at 1:40 is just horrifying to me. The concept, the picture, the damn death tune, everything

  • I TOTALLY agree with you...

  • You'll be releived to know that in reality, that can never happen.

I heard about an incident at NASA some time ago where someones space suit malfunctioned out in space and they were exposed to the full vacuum of space.

It sucked all the air from their lungs and caused some damage due to them trying to hold their breath, but they didn't inflate and explode.

They were rescued by other cre members and had to be revived. Despite having some minor lung damage, they are allright.

  • I don't know... That was under somewhat different circumstances. After all, that was a malfunctioning spacesuit, while the example in the game is with no spacesuit at all. I think a malfunctioning spacesuit would expose you to the vacuum of space gradualy, unlike just walking in and getting the vacuum all at once.

Then again, I'm not sure going from an air to an airless area with no spacesuit would make you explode. Expand due to lack of air pressure, maybe. but explode? Probably not.

  • actually trying to hold your breath would be the worst thing to do, since all the air in your body wants to get out due to the higher pressure in your own body compared to the vacuum of space

also a minor malfunction doesn't mean you're exposed to space

also since space is so cold, you can turn into a popsicle rather quickly

the space suit protects against the intense cold of space, and also sometimes the intense heat

  • @weakvids Oh, come on! I find it funny and pretty logical. Laura Bow's deaths scare your crap out.

  • @weakvids The human body holds together without the help of air pressure, and heat transfer works slowly in a vacuum. What happens is that you're intensely uncomfortable for fifteen seconds, then pass out from a lack of oxygen. This happened to a guy in a NASA test accident, and he was fine. This made for a cool scene in an Arthur C. Clarke novel, where a stricken spaceship was evacuated by lining up its airlock with another ship's and having the crew jump.

    The picture still sucks, though.

  • @weakvids but Wasn't that fun!

  • @weakvids I have a fear the last thing I'll see is a message box with snarky text and the YOU DIE theme.

  • "Mommy is that you?" LOL I thought that part was funny.

  • The one at 2:42 happens very suddenly!

  • i know

hardly anything was done to get that o.o

  • So, the game jerks you around when you lose? Awesome.

  • Reminds you a lot of the King's Quest series, don't it?

  • Sierra folk were very cruel :P

  • I miss the narrator from SQ IV.

  • In the original castle scene, Roger Wilco lands in the Kingdom of Daventry and gets eaten by alligators once his space craft lands in the moat. Ken and Roberta actually have lines in the original :)

  • How-He-Blew-It Cam(tm) was the greatest thing ever.

  • Wait! I know who Roger really is. Hes basically Goofy in disguise. Watch 2:20 to know why im true.

  • 2:42 Give me a break!!!

  • MR WHITMAN makes ALOT of good videos

  • I like the little icons when you die,it's like the 5 version of 3 ones.

  • who are the pig comentators at 9:00? are they parodies of football commentators?

  • They're Mike Crowe and Scott Murphy, the Two Guys from Andromida and the creators of the Space Quest series.

  • AHHHHHHH HA HA HA HOOOOEEEYYYYYY!

  • @thomas007 Does that artificial gravity do the job, or what?

  • @mattstorm360

Guess those doors are as strong as they look.

  • that last death was freaking hilarious

  • Love that instant replay!

  • I also failed to buckle up!

  • Robin Hood:Conquests of the Longbow was released then. The idea is for the "Do not touch" button is to show a plug for another Sierra game in production.

  • LOL at the ending

  • Buckle up for safety, buckle up...

Wonder why they changed the King's quest joke?

  • DeathCam? bah.

    we have How-He-Blew-ItCAM!

  • And chalkboard!

  • I played this game when I was really young and it scared the hell outta me. That horrible tone that sounds upon your death still sends a shiver up my spine. :p

I also found the 'Buckle Up' message really funny, and it still sticks in my mind 'til this very day. :D

  • I've watched the death scenes too, I found those scary too!

  • I have allways been scared for these endings. I never wanted to die in these games...Gio fucking damme?!

  • The death at 1:41 was one of my favorites.

  • That final one was seriously too funny for it to be good. xD

  • Moar ways to die in this game? Wow! What have I been missing not being alive during the 80's! Amazing! five'd.

  • That last death won the Internets.

You are a god among men for posting all of these disturbingly humorous videos.

  • You know, the strange thing is after playing Space Quest 4 and 6, I keep imagining Gary Owens doing the voice of the narrators. Even when there IS no voice. He was that good. :D

  • Same thing happens to me...

He was a damn good narrator

  • Heh, old habits die hard - I found myself clicking on the dialog boxes a couple of times when I had finished reading. =)

    Thanks for posting this!

  • lol the ending ... so funny ! xD

  • "The only transplant you'll get here is from carcass to spit over flame." LOL

  • Lol I was wondering the same thing!

  • at 2:20 is that scream goofy's? lol

  • ROFL!!

  • Dont forget at 8:23

  • LOL goofy's scream
