street beat customs sells the full rag top kit for any model hard top beetle for 495.00 a kit I believe they come in black and white something I'm planning on doing this to mine

it is not recomended to use those aftermarket kits because they never fit properly. You are better off finding a factory top

do you know anywhere i can get the rails for the rag mine got thrown out and it seems imposible to find another setup

yeah it would,I'm doing a herbie replica out of a 72 and so far the hardest thing has been finding the rag top.
