Wonderful! My husband, 2 grandkids-ages-3 and 5, daughter-in-law and her mom trekked though the pineapple fields to be there that day. I was standing in a clearing at the top of the cliff when this surfer came climbing up and I was astounded that he made the climb....much less the waves! As my oldest grandson Luke said, "This is the best maui adventure yet!" Very Cool---thanks for the memories!

Pe'ahi is not Laird's spot. It was a well known wind surfing spot before any surfers knew about it. I think wind surfers told him about it. The only reason people are not encouraged to surf there is because you really can die there.
