  • Thanks for this video. Your demo was a big factor in me buying this guitar, and it's great!

  • Hello! What mic did you use?

    Thanks from Estonia.

  • @Artints mini DV camcorders have amazing microphones, i think that's what she was using

  • which pickups are active in rhythm mode?

  • You are a great guitar player, very nice control and rhythm. Nice vid, to the point and concise.

  • BARBARISM BEGINS AT HOME

  • Thanks for the demo. I just bought a used one. One thing I noticed is I get alot of humming and buzzing through my amp. My other guitars don't have this problem O.0

  • @roadlizard666

That's not normal, there's probably something wrong with the electronics or wiring. You should bring it to a guitar tech, unless you have the skills to fix it (maybe that's just a very minor fault).

  • you should check out the guiterfetish website and have a look at the XV-JT100 it's a nice alternative. :D

  • wow 10.15 :))

  • Hey, I fought the law too!

  • At first I thought you were like a young male talking and then I found out you were a girl and it made the video way better, heh. Thanks a lot though, got my HH and even I wasn't sure totally what each switch was for.

  • Thanks for the Post

    Corkey

  • Subterranean Homesick Alien!

  • Really sexy guitar, I have one myself. But Jesus Christ, a good looking girl who plays Opeth (at least to some extent)?! That is also pretty sexy.

  • how is this different to a jazzmaster. is it the tremelo. i understand that the jazzmaster have different pickups

  • @orange349 the jazzmaster doesn't have the phase switches and hi-pass filter for the lead circuit

Instead it has a traditional 3-way pickup selector

  • this thing is pretty sexy

  • Very good demo & info. Now I have some idea about all those switches.

  • I have too ask I'm considering buy one heavily is this a good guitar for Grunge?

And are you playing with a Marshall MG-30?

  • Playing some decent music there great!

  • That amp is actually pretty decent.

  • absolutely awesome review - you know your tech and chops too. You give a lot of valuable information.

I own a Gretsch hollow-body and am looking for a full on electric; this review sold me to the HH. Thanks!

  • This is a beautiful guitar! I bought a telecaster less than 6 months ago but if i hadn't i would definately buy this!

  • Youre so sexy.. shame some people dont and will never understand that guitar girl

  • i love you

  • thanks i couldnt make up my mind on what guitar i should get next i guess i found it, but how much do these guitars go for cuz at fender their about 1000 and at guitar center they are 700. do u know somewhere where they might be alittle inexpensive?

  • Wow you sound like Robin Scherbatsky...'but um'

  • FINALLY! i know what the damn switches do!

  • @fuzzybuttcb750 me too lol!

  • Omg if I see a girl that starts talking all this stuff to me about guitars Ill fall in love instantly. You know your shiz, didn't know about the treble switch and am curios to try a short scale guitar, never tried one before. Cheers

  • I definitely started singing along when you played barbarism begins at home haha

  • boring

  • BOooooooooooooooo0ring, Give me some crunch!

  • SUBTERRANEAN HOMESICK ALIEN!!! i love you.

  • hey, great vid!! I'm about to buy one of those, I didn't understand everything you said about the 'strings thing' that they might come out or something...do you think using 10 -52 should be any problems? Thanks a lot once again, have fun!!!! ;)

  • This guitar is even more versatile than I thought it was. I'll have one, someday.

  • what you should do is get a mustang bridge that stops it slippin.

  • play some goddamn distortion

  • @GuitarsGalore557

You know whats incorrect about the 'word' unstrument?

It's a fucking typo. Thanks for correcting me, asswhipe.

  • Thanks so much for making an actual demo of the HH (instead of guitar wanking labeled as a demo). Also, high five for Subterranean Homesick Alien.

  • You fucking shred!!!!!!

  • this is a great video thanks so much. I am thinking about buying one of these this summer, so how well does it respond to distortion , any pickups overly trebley. anyway to combat the E string problems, thanks alot

  • I think you are brilliant! and I really liked this demo [love the cure bits] :)

  • Wow I love this girl!! she is just amazing in everything and the review about the rp-50 was amazing she got a good taste in everything!!! where i can meet someone like you?

  • Mine arrived today. Put some huge strings on, tweaked the intonation (easy) and it feels amazing. Going into the studio tomorrow, taking my Japanese-made mail-order bride along.

  • Must've been a custom model. The silver humbuckers, replacing the original pickups, are a plus.

  • Thanks for the review!

  • Thanks for this really comprehensive explanation, that's just what I needed!

Very nice playing by the way, such a shame you're using that crappy amp... You should definitely switch to an tube amp, or at least an hybrid one like the excellent Fender Super Champ xd!

  • @soulboogaloo

I use the super champ. It is BOSS. For fifteen watts, it is freaking LOUD! And with the modeling capabilities that don't sound like poo (my first modeling amp was behringer. it almost made me believe that modeling couldn't be done well. haha) and a great sound in general, it's a great little amp.

  • Hahaha, but that marshall is amazing, my friend and band memeber have one, and me a Fender and to be honest the marshall kick my ass with that amazing bass, and tone...

  • nice..i have a jazzmaster...

  • So if you have slightly big hands, this guitar isnt the unstrument?

    That sucks to hear...

  • great guitar

  • great demo. this is my dream guitar.

  • these are made in japan

  • thats a fuckin sick guitar !!!

  • what type of reverb are you using?

  • thank you thank you. It definitely is refreshing to hear a review that isn't awful. Thanks for going through all the switches and trying to use a relatively unbiased tone to show what the guitar actually sounds like. very helpful. and great great playing!

  • you did a really good review! most people really suck at explaining anything! but you are great at it! and you play guitar very swell! i love your guitar! and your cute!

    keep up the great videos!

    peace out

  • this fender is good for metal riffs??????????

  • thanks, i was wondering what those switches do, thats was pretty sick when you played paranoid android too (y)

  • Nice playing..

  • im inlove with y.. i mean the jaguar. screw jazzmaster! i want a Jaguaarrrr!!!! >:O

  • I believe the fixed bridge was a Kurt Cobain preference, same with the dual humbuckers. This guitar (the HH) was inspired after the mods done on his '65 Jag. Soooo.....thanks Kurt!

  • Great demo I was just looking at this guitar on Musicians Friend. Thanks.

  • Seriously. Subterranean Homesick Alien?

You are the best demo-er ever.

  • i thought this was an 11 year old boy until i saw the pic

  • Thank you for the informations

  • oh man...you've got an awesome guitar

  • RADIOHEAD!!!!

  • Thanks a bunch, I just got a sunburst HH Jaguar and I had no idea what the pickups really were capable of until this video!

    Thanks alot man!

  • @AirHendrix91 its a girl

  • So. She's cool enough to be one of the dudes.

    So shut the fuck up.

Anyway. Thanks a lot for the help, IFoughtTheLaw369.

  • @AirHendrix91 shes not a dude bitch. that disrespectful calling her a dude.shes very good but im saying you shouldnt call her a dude+

  • Oh give it up you son of a bitch.

  • Dude, thank you so much for explaining the pickups. I recently got a Sunburst edition of the guitar and I love it but I got the neck pickup idea by messing around with it, because I absolutely hate the bridge pickup sound therefore I know what switch turns it on and off I guess.

    Anyway, thanks dude.

  • its this guitar good for blues?

  • omg. I was looking at jagstangs but they're IMPOSSIBLE to find, and this looks really niceeee. I need something with some grunge/punk tone. And a little ska. Will this get it done?

  • Jaguars and Jazzmasters can do anything.

  • yup

  • oh yer man this is what hurt cobain used to record nevermind. plus it was one of his fav guitars next to the mustang, they both look nice!

  • thanks. I'd still love a JagStang, but the look of this Jag is nice...jagstangs look a bit wonky don't they? :)

  • thx !

    It helped me a lot!

  • good demo, helped me out.

  • The Cure - Play for today

  • 4:14-4:44....what s the name of this song??

  • how do you select pickups in rhythm mode?

  • iT'S GORGEOUS

  • i love your demo i was lookin at jaguars because of kurt cobain but i want a fender strat instead but u got crazy skill

  • great guitar, i love those fenders, but don´t like the hum of those single coils. never heard a sound like this before. doesn´t sound like kurt cobain because of the humbuckers. quite unique sound. nevertheless it´s a pity that you use such a crappy amp! ;)

    rock on!

  • actually kurt's jaguar had humbuckers, and his mustangs and strats always had a humbucker in the bridge. the more chunky sound really adds a grunge twist to it. :P

  • Just ordered an Jaguar HH, gonna have to get it set up though, as I didn't buy from a store which I normally do, but no where in my area had any Jags let alone the HH. I think what really sold it to me was the sounds of the 'loveless' ablum by My bloody valentine. Great video, I now know what to expect as I was curious about the numerous tone controls as i'm so used to les pauls telecasters.

  • he never played a guitar with 2 humbuckers. for more information look at the "kurtsequipment" homepage

  • Love the guitar, then BAM Radiohead.

You just made my day haha

  • After listening to this a couple of times ... this would sound really sweet with a warm 60's kind of tremolo. I might buy me one. And im generally not a big Fender fan.

  • wow... im usually not a big fender fan... i love the gibson explorer or firebird models... but this sounds amazing and i love the looks of it. I was wondering how Robert Smith could put so much texture to his sound. Thnx for sharing

And again... great skill girl.. keep it up

  • Les Paul did not create the first solid body guitar ya tard. The tele was the first and way before that Thomas Edison came up with the idea of a solid body violin....so suck em...both

  • I agree with you!!!! Haha!

  • les paul created the solid body guitar, dummy

  • Comment removed

  • Wrong and you're clearly suffering from cognitive stupidity here.

Les created the first solid body guitar and that is imperacle fact. It's not even up for debate. Google it.

  • It is arguable but I'm not going to bother heh heh

  • Comment removed

  • pure rejectamenta(bullshit on your part).

the only mistake is on your part. you lack the proper mental acuity to learn history of the solid body. les paul created the first.

  • Comment removed

  • I don't care where it came from as long as I have something to play if he wasn't around it would of been done by some one else a little later

  • @ne0nsurf lol

  • OH ALL APOLOGIES! So you rely on google for everything?

  • google, wikipedia, and considering most news and interviews/articles say he created it, then yes. it's called a consensus, dumbfuck.

  • EVULL guitar :D

  • i was wondering if you have this model are you able to add the thing at the bottom so it would have a whammy bar. because that model in the video doesn't have that on it.

  • I'm not sure but jaguars and jazzmaster have the same nut width so maybe you could jazzmaster bigsby they are hard to find but they are around.

  • i wonder if the jazzmaster bigsby would work on that :P

  • Amazing guitar, nice pedal (I have the RP90). You're taste in music is superb, and you're guitar playing is surprising. NICE.

  • Nice job on the demo. You're very knowledgeable and talented. You should definitely be in music for a career!

  • if you want better tone out of your amp you should put it on a stool or something so the ground doesnt steal the vibrations!

  • Im thinking of buying...a Jaguar HH classic player or a Mustang 65 reissue i cant decide

  • both good, but i would go for a 69RI stang. but jag HHs are really good, cant go wrong with both :)

  • The new models turned that rhythm-lead switch into a killswitch, and now the two rollers control the tone of both bridges... makes me sad.

  • I Have the same guitar and love it, you're playing is great.... love your choice of music.... i'm a big cure fan myself.

    Love the videos :)

  • Doesn't it confuse you when you're playing gigs with all those different switches?

  • hmmm. good tone.

might have to try one out to complement my '57 USRI

  • That was a very good and in depth review and enjoyable. I have been considering getting the traditional style jaguar (MIJ) but may consider as Jaguar HH has a lovely sound in your vid. Thankyou x

  • thats a really nice guitar :D How much was it?

  • new jaguars hh r around 900-1000

  • The breath of the morning

    I keep forgetting

The smell of the warm summer air

    :)

  • You say tremolo funny, nice review though.

  • A very sexy guitar...original, too, and its comfortable? i guess..

  • gr8 demo i have a jagstang but that looks cool 2

  • i thought you were british but you sound american .

  • Hey, I have this same guitar for about 3 years now, I absolutely love it... this is the only guitar I have played on stage and I have others but for some reason I keep going back. Excellent songs you play too, Radiohead, loving the cure! great choice, I actually covered 10:15 sat. night my first time playing live as Rose's Devotion

  • where is this made ???

  • if ur talking about the guitar its made in japan.

  • Two volume and two tone knob/rollers?

    Do they control seperate pickups?

    Nice Chucks at 2:23

Marshall? Not a great amp?!?!?! What!!!

    Radiohead, nice.

  • the mg series of marshall is actually crap

  • Same amp! haha i just got a bad guitar to go with it :(

  • Great review. You seem to have a pretty good understanding of you instrument.

  • Cool as vid,, I have a Gun metal blue version of this guitar and the hardware is like has a distressed look ahh hard to explain anyway i love this guitar,, and your vid was great helped clear up them bloody switches,,, you can tell your a good guitarist too,,, 5 stars

  • for the rhythm channel... what do the switches do... nothing or it doesn't matter?

  • haha every track you play is a song i like.

It's time you got yourself a Twin reverb amp though to finish off your sound. You're wasting your time with a decent guitar through a crap amp.

  • i was thinking the same thing.. cool vid tho.

  • wow nice guitar! how much was it?

  • I got one two years ago and it was 630

  • theyre 900 now

  • I got mine for I think 600+tax after a 100 dollar markdown at guitar center. It's too bad Fender raised their prices, now Jazzmasters are close to 2 grand! Now I'll never get one, haha.

  • i got mine for 375 off my good friend its used but it works great

  • Get yourself a descent band and rock! Coz you don't play in a band do you? Why not? Just not found one? Coz really... You're not totally mindblowing but better then alot of second class guitarists out there !

  • that sucks, I had 750 bucks on me ready to go, I went to guitar center near where i live and they jacked up the price. Last time i was there it was up for 600.

  • it is really unfortunate that Fender's prices keep skyrocketing. Now good guitars are going for the price of what the high end fenders used to go for, and the high end fenders are reaching Gibson prices 0_o

  • this happens every couple of years they'll go down by 2011 (i hope) top 20 guitars are very cheap on ebay :)

  • Most good guitars are over priced. But this HH model seems perfect for you and you play it very well. But if you want a high quality America made guitar in the future, I would suggest checking out a Rickenbacker 330. Very versitile for your playing style. Go to Vela75 channel and see what he does with his. Quite amazing.

  • Can you do a review of yourself, where you just film and talk about yourself? because you are awesome.

  • i love that guitar... its Cure sonud... All Mine Forever song,... its correct?

  • I wish I could play the guitar, but I can´t play it (the strings are too close together; or maybe I´m just a fat handed twat), so I always wonder what it would be like, if a guitar player would play a known song on a "wrong" guitar (i.e. Stratocaster instead of Fender, etc.)...

  • There's no such thing as a "wrong" guitar. Stratocasters are made by Fender, and just because a song was played on a Strat doesn't mean you can't play it on a Jaguar or a Gibson SG or an Epiphone Sheraton II.

Personal preference dictates the guitar you use.

  • Okay, I mean a "different" guitar. You know, some guitar heros, like The Edge, or so, always have a dozen, or so, different guitars on live gigs. So I wondered what if they played a whole concert with one single guitar. Maybe it would give a nice, different version.

Can you plug all pedals (and other effect devices) on every guitar?

  • such a decent demo

  • If you connect the guitar directly maybe we could hear the sound of the guitar

  • As soon as I heard this was a girl i was outta here.

Oj! Much respect to someone who knows about their guitars

  • Radiohead intro!!!

  • 4:16 A forest by the cure?

  • I think so. she was playing 10.15 before.

  • No, it's 'Play for Today'.

  • wow,you really know your stuff.

  • Hello, sorry, I just wrote a pissy comment in reply to someone else who wrote a comment. But anyway, your vids are good and i found this one really helpful actually as i have the same guitar and just sort of stumble on my sounds by accident but now i know! Thanks!

  • i have this guitar too. it's my favorite of the many guitars that i have. thanks for detailing what the switches do. i've always known how they affect the sound, but never exactly what they actually did. very informative, nice video!

  • this is made in mexico or there are american and japanese

  • Japan i think.

  • I just tried the baritone version of this guitar. It was great and I highly recommend giving it a go. It was tuned B to B. I also tried a Gretsch Baritone but it was E to E and more like a 6 string bass.

  • nice guitar

  • subterranean homesick alien!

  • Here's an advice I give you for free: rock'n'roll is not abou technique; it's about life, beeing alive, and prove that you're alive; it's abou desperation, hunger and death. You can't understand now, but keep these words with you.

  • The idea of rock n roll is fake. You don't know what the fuck you're talking about.Personally,I like some bands that can be considered rock n roll but I don't consider them to be.The idea of rock n roll is terrible, especially in it's 'modern' state

  • Comment removed

  • What are you on about? She's doing an instructional video on how to get different sounds from a complicated set of switches which are unique to a particular model, don't get all high and mighty about 'Rock N Roll'! 'Rock n roll 'doesn't happen by accident, and i guarantee that every band you're into has worked hard to get their sound through the right music gear. Fucking idiot.
