it's a fukkin sin that bands like oasis got their due when these guys kick both songwriting and live performance ass (oasis live?!!) swervedriver is up there with the best british bands ever
First heard these guys when they opened for Smashing Pumpkins at the Agora Ballroom in Cleveland in 1992 and that was it, they were such a superior band to their headliner that night. I scooped up all the recordings of theirs I could find the next day, and I've been learning their tunings ever since!
I first heard swervedriver in the 90s when road rash came out, such a great soundtrack. (in fact I got into quite a few decent bands through videogame soundtracks. Coz I'm THAT cool.
You kiddin? Not only are there fans in the US but I saw all the same ones come out this year just as 10 years ago plus a few new ones! Be sure to check out Film School (SWD's West Coast opener on this tour) as well. Great new album- "Hideout."
Thank you swerve for posting these vids. You caught my girl and I in the crowd there a couple of times. We were the ones singing the loudest ;) - what an awesome show!
I was there !! will never forget such a great band...saw them at the Filmore in SF so many years ago...unique shot indeed ..Gracias for posting dude..
I liked them. Caught their last song at the Filmore; peaked my interest. Made a point of watching their sets at the Fonda and Casbah. Bought their last album after flirting with the base player at the consession stand (trying to impress her.) In fact, I hoped you might be her but I see not by your MySpace profile. 8)~ I see that you have a comment from Keith Canisius which is trippy. I'm Keith and I attended Canisius High School. I gotta have a shirt or something from him! Why do you ask?
Thanks for the post. Without a doubt, one of my all time favorite songs.

Blows me away that people in the States are into this band.
They sound like they've actually improved with age!
