  • Great video now I know how to protect my self

  • Where do I buy this Uni-Ball 207 Gel pen?

  • They are available at Walgreens, Office Depot, Longs, and many other stores.

  • The gel is only the carrier. Its the pigment in the gel that permanently adheres to the paper fibers. The pigment (which is microscopic flecks of dried paint) is impervious to the chemicals used to "wash" checks. So the only way to remove the pigment is to destroy the paper fibers. That's why this ink is anti-check washing.

  • If you use a different solvent it will dissolve the gel based pen. So this pen is useless.

  • no it won't, unless it disolves the paper, almost like fresco on a wall

  • YES it will. Its simple chemistry a gel based sovlent will dissolve the gel based pen and not the paper.

  • You are incorrect. We have tried everything. Nothing that will remove the gel ink will leave the check unharmed.

  • You have tried everything? It is obvious that you failed high school chemistry remember "like dissolves like." A dye based pen high a high affinity to any type of polar solvent (paint thinner, isopropanol, etc etc you get the point). So you just apply the same methods discussed above and this "gel based pen" can also be washed away only using a different type of solvent.
