The secreat is tune your guitar to E. The capo does'nt make any diffrence except to how high you want to sing. The higher you put the capo the higher you have to sing in the key of E.

no you don't tune to E. The song is in Drop D. Good like playing this in standard with or without a capo. Also you need the capo at the third fret to do it as was written. I wouldn't recommend anyone to tune their guitar up to drop F

His cover is great, just watch it a few times. It's drop tuned, and it looks like there's a capo on the 3rd or 4th fret (some people even play it with the capo on the 1st fret).

This sounds stupid, but I've found it helps to internalize the song by listening to it over and over and over again, you'll just pick up on the little aspects of the song.
