Tried the pandanus before. The fleshy base is nice, but I opened quite a few, and there were no seeds inside, It was hard work getting them open, they're very tough.

Coconut trees are really the trees of life. It provides food, water, shelter, cordage etc. It's a versatile tree. Ray made a good shelter. The locals taught him well.
