  • Wow I really like your decline punches and cyclone squats... But as I asked in another post can you go through the full workout for the full amount of time that?? That way we can follow along at home and not have to pause every few seconds... do that I would probably watch a few of your vids everyday and follow along as my workout... it would be great motivation to have a "trainer" right infront of you pushing you.. your workouts are great and very smart!!

  • hey jeff, i joined your athlean x program and i was just wondering for the conditioning days, do you perform these things only once or a number of times?

    For example, I'm replacing a conditioning routine with this iron man one. Am i only supposed to do this once for 8mins and that's my workout for the day, or am i supposed to be doing more?

  • I would guess that if you have some back problems on work out#2 that you can use a physcio ball..

  • @IbanezGio122 Yes. Its going to help you lose fat in three ways: 1. the exercises are going to burn calories directly. 2. Its going to increase your metabolism for a few hours. 3. Its going to build muscle, which increase your basic metabolism,

  • @IbanezGio122 Also, remember your calorie intake has to be lower than your calorie output every day to lose fat. This is part of that formula.

  • that's just defficult, but what the hell. i bought your system Jeff, and tomorrow is gonna be my first day using it. im 12.5% fat now, and i just need it to reach like what..!! let's say 10 is quite enough tho. but wait, the ladder exercises, should i bring something similar to the ladder shape or should i act if there is a ladder already! i mean the movement without no physical ladder shep!?

  • On my second day of Athlean and attempting this since I don't have a rope ladder. ATTEMPTING being the key word

  • @MikeJFord31 u dont need the ladder...i used few pieces of wood...or just use tape, pencils, whatever just to see or to make separate boxes on the floor or ground...the ladder routine was fun :))

  • @iguanaman07 lol we have the same problem xD if your tryin to build muscle as well try similar things ( like the kettlebell workout ) cause if you do to much cardio without weights nd stuff ( not nessicarily always together ) you will start losin muscle.

  • Ok and how about overtraining ? I see you are working few muscle groups at a time with this workout. So if I do this 2 times in a week i will work out my chest and shoulders at least 3 times a week. So my question is - will my muscles be able to recover ? 

  • @TheManWithNoShadow Shoulders and chest is really good to workout, since you mostly use them in every exercise.

  • @d3v1lry then start with 1 min. and add like lets say 15-20 secs after you feel that you can do 1 min. with a little more ease

  • @d3v1lry Why not start with 20 pushups instead and later on move to 1 minute followed by 2 mins and so on. You can't really expect to do it if you don't have at least some muscular mass ;).

  • @d3v1lry the goal of this program is to push you to your limits not necessarily completing all of the sets. so you need to do as much as you can in a short period of time, in this case, 2 minutes. you dont have to do so much you passout or anything...

  • haha....finally gettin it where ur intro can be a lil long winded at times. its aights, ur excersizes shown are worth hearin u do a chin wag. hate to imagine how long winded u be once u get old!

  • the cyclone is perfect exercise helps also balance and is being used from the greek disc throwing team..your vids are awesome and helpfull thank you.

  • Jeff, as I couldn't buy a ladder ot do the QFL Workouts I decided to try some of these conditiong workouts. I tryed the Iron Man Workout and, dude, it keeps you 2 steps from the gates of hell!! I have never been out of breath within 8 minutes doing a workout!! Thanks Jeff for doing this amazing program!!

  • @msk2195 Do alot more than just benching. ..To lose the fat do a lil more cardio. Then do decline bench presses, or decline pushups. Go light weight on the bench presses, but high reps. Such at 3 sets of 20 or so.

  • Hey Jeff im looking at getting your product and have checked out some of your vids. Im a 39 year old ex sport fanatic that is in serious need of conditioning. Two years ago i tore my anterior cruciate ligament and has to have knee reconstruction. WIth this came alot of trouble with hammys however starting to get better now. Ill cut the case, basically this would you suggest for someone starting off again to go straight back into this intensity? I mean 2 minutes would be alot would it not?

  • Just did this routine for the first time today. Shoulders are pumped and out of breath. Didn't quite make it to 8min (30 seconds short, but was out of gas). Awesome. Can't wait to start the Athlean program, purchase it yesterday.

  • @LLuuuK You know I appreciate all you guys for watching (even the intro haters!). It's all in good fun. Elbows in on the pushups will cause a greater triceps recruitment. Wider will target chest a bit more. Depends upon what your individual goal is.

    it needs just a bit of creativity =)...I hope you have two bottles of water, you will also train your grip because of the bigger diameter...if it's too light, you can fill them with sand or other things...you can also do them without weights, this will be a good workout even without any weight...
