The first half of the video was quite straight forward; I think you could have done some more impressive card control than basic false shuffling.

That escalator trick is impressive, and it's one that I've tried to figure out for a while, yet I can't find any tutorials that wouldn't come from a DVD from a site like E.

I wouldn't mind if you could give me a few hints/pointers as to how that part is done ;).

I can't say I've seen that reveal before, but it looks a little to uncontrolled.

The reveal always works as long as you don't drop the deck... Also about the Elevator (not the escalator), I admit that I don't use the original version, just a version that someone made a tutorial on youtube. It still looks pretty much the same, and works just as well. Thanks for the tips. I didn't use other card controls because the shortage of time.

The problem is that when I tried to find a tutorial, I keep finding the basic ones with a single double lift or something which result in a snap of the finger and your card is back on top.

Very simple stuff.

Could you point me in the right direction to find a proper tutorial?

Using different card controls wouldn't be much more time consuming, as you spent over a minute selecting a card (I know it was the story, but still).

Just suggestions, really.

And I just suggested because if you plan on entering in more contests, I would imagine that more difficult moves wouldn't hurt in their grading.
