Its a good point indeed. I believe thats because the movie tries to show Bonds crazy attitude when he started to work as a 00 agent, like he wants to do anything by himself with no help. And I also believe that at the moment he didnt thought about that possibility or if there was no time to think about that. Just take a look about how fast the criminal can run at the building, I man by the time the cops arrived, he already vanished the scene.

It pretty much showed exactly what they needed from a 00 Agent, someone who reacts without emotion. And that escape at the end was insane. I think the guy he was chasing is a professional free runner too. I'd probably given up by the time he started climbing that building.

You can't deny when it came to the action scenes it was good though, at least some of them anyway. And it felt darker to me, but everyone has different views.
