@theenragedbean Thanks much for the sentiment but I was pointing out that we were only getting some cloud cover as the storm passed by us out in the Atlantic and no high winds or damage at all.
Fortunately it looks like the storm is weakening somewhat and with any luck the harm it causes up the eastern seaboard will be minimal.
@toyota4life94 I'm in Statesboro, about 200 miles southeast of you. Just about 50 miles from the coast.
Irene was pretty much like Floyd back in 1999 but that time they evacuated Savannah and it didn't rain a drop.
When I lived in Atlanta the best I could hope for in a big hurricane induced storm would be from the ones that ran up from the gulf and through Alabama
@xexodusx This is just the outer edge, the last real hurricane that came through here was Hugo in 1989 and I definitely knew what I was seeing then. Fortunately we're in that pocket of coastline that rarely gets hit,
But you're right, where you are you definitely know which way the wind's blowing! :)
i know nothing about Hurricanes and if they can do any damage (im from wisconsin) but either way ill keep you in my thoughts and prayers

@toyota4life94 Is it getting as bad as last year? Lake Lanier just about bottomed out. Or was that a couple years ago?
I figured we'd have a rainier season but it's been pretty sparse down here this year
