Kyle Landry, I am waiting for Midnight Music VI and VII and VIII and IX and X XI XII XIII XIV XV XVI XVII XVIII XIX XX and XXXX C0 and WC XZM and V 9 65 "/ =! and (&#(/%"?2=#8). Please? :)
Its great to watch you blossom man. One day we can brag that we watched you from the early days, before you were the most popular composer of the time.
Melody is important. Nobou Uematsu is the quality composer he is for his 'melodies'. You did awesome in this....far better than I can play and I have no problem admitting it. But you have a career in music where I will never have. My advice even though I know this was an improv, is that GOOD melody is so important. I compose very repetitious things, but to be great....really great, distinct and differential melodies must be created. Melody is more important than chord progressions. :)
Thats hella clean, call me crazy but the first 30 sec kinda sounds like if the Harry Potter intro and Star Wars(forgot what the musics called) had a baby it would be that.
@IQKZZZ eh... its a joke that you actually have to know me to understand. Basically I'm saying that even though Beethoven was a musical genius, he's still jealous of Kyle's performance. = 3 =
Could you please Re-make the Resident evil 3 (ps1 game ) End credits song please. must be repeated because i want you to really really make it thanks :):):):)
hey kyle your piece is extraordinary...its amazing and i love how passionate you are in playing piano <3 i hope one day ill be able to play as passionate as you. Thank you for this beautiful piece ^^ and for inspiring me everytime
@CleverDjembe I also have over a decade of experience and trust me, jazz improvisation is much easier than classical, there must be a reason why every second pianist can play some chords and fiddle around with his other hand. In it's essence jazz is a much more free form of music, mistakes can be forgiven and there are a so many scales and modes you can choose from with it all sounding good.
Classical is more unforgiving, you have to be exact and know exactly what you are doing.
Ahh.. so that's how you think. I get it. But I'm coming from a different angle - my perspective is that no matter what the source material or basis for impro: classical, jazz, world music, pop, just a mental image/feeling... improvisation is "composing something new which has not been notated, something quite literally "un-foreseen" in real time. It's you expressing yourself musically, that's what matters, not the source material ,which is trivial. It could be anything.
@CleverDjembe Don't try and get around what you started, the basis of this is that I think it is more difficult to improvise in a classical style. Of course it is subjective but i'm saying for the most part that it is harder and that a majority of people would struggle more to improvise classically.
I know the definition of improvisation and you're still avoiding the argument.
You could bang your head on a piano and call it improv, but is that as hard as say, what kylelandry is doing?
@CleverDjembe And, you aren't arguing your point at all you're just saying music is music or improv. is improv.
That's like saying driving stick and driving auto are the same, driving is driving
Or There's no difference between times tables and calculus, math is math
There is clearly a difference you can't just say everything is the same under a big music umbrella, two completely different genres and just because you have over a decade of experience doesn't mean you know much about it at all.
I'm sorry that you don't understand where I'm coming from. When I improvise, everything IS under a big musical umbrella. You have been hard-wired into thinking in limited "genres" of music, yet, when I sit down at the piano to CREATE, I don't see/feel/think a "genre" anywhere, all I do is let music run through me. Until you can do that, don't presume you know what I'm talking about.
@CleverDjembe Classical in itself can be divided into different genres, baroque, romantic etc. Of course it all comes under the big umbrella of music but you can't say that everything is one and the same. Jazz also has a plethora of genres; bebop, swing and then it lead to blues which lead to funk. You're obviously just talking out of your ass and trying to make it look as if you have some higher understanding of music.
And after all this you're still avoiding the original topic!
@CleverDjembe Oh and you're either talking shit to get yourself out of this hole you've dug, or even worse, you've actually got your head stuck so far up your ass that you believe that you are some kind of god on piano?
Have some self respect and stand up for an argument that you start.
@UsernameGoesHere9 People who leave cheesy comments, god they shit me. "Music is music," "feel what you play," "jump off a cliff." I mean really, "music is music"? Are you actually shitting me? You tore him to pieces.
All your improvisations are so unique and beautiful! Whenever I try to compose somthing new, it always somehow starts sounding like things I've already made!! The beginning was so beautiful, and then it developed into something indescribeable :) Thank you for sharing your music/talent with us!!

These words can help you or someone else reach a higher level - but only when you're ready, so don't try and understand it right now:
A skilled performer can play within the framework of any interesting style which seems attractive and comfortable.
A master performer can play with no framework, he just lets the music flow through him.
CleverDjembe 7 months ago
@CleverDjembe haha wow ok 'master performer' put some substance behind your words and prove that you are a 'master performer'
