  • You can upload the video from the ipod just click the box in the bottom left corner then click upload to youtube

  • omg they argue like women

    thumbs up for sexism :)

  • Didn't work for me. :(

  • PRESS 2 TO SKIP DRYING

  • what you guys problems for hating on this? its a god damn kid guys, he's trying to help, im gonna go try it out cause i dont feel like busting the shit open yet. thanks xXxja196xXx for the post i'll let ya know if this works for me.

  • thank you very much you save my life.you are the man.

  • Dis shit work

  • DO NOT DO THIS!!!!!! PUTTING TOO MUCH HEAT WILL MELT YOUR PLASTIC and possible fry !!.Also, the Thermal Compound is a key factor in this fix, trust me!!! Do it the proper way,all you need is a screwdriver, heat gun,Thermal Compound and about 2 hours.. Gilsky has a very simple and best how to video. search for his and dont listen to these idiots!!

  • @jayshock00 You're an idiot you know that, we all know it can melt you're ps3 a little but the thermal compund just gets remelted back into place and the disconnected sauders re-sauder back t th original, calm the fuck down, and the whole reason for this is for ppl who dont wanna open ther ps3

  • @xXxja196xXx Your an absolute noob. Its solder not sauder fucking hell retard.

Yes the hairdryer may work but it is not good practice or a solution its a quick fix for getting disks out or recovering data. DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS TO ANYONE WANTING TO FIX YLOD PERMANTLY.

And the thermal compound will not get remelted back into place. For a start thermal compound isn't a solid at room temperature therefore it will not "melt" at all.

Coming from someone who has fixed YLOD properly mutlple times

  • @MarkG11400 Okay i dont give a flying fuck i never said that it fixes forever but i got lucky because mine lasted 9 months with this fix it depends and will vary so dont let your vagina flow to hard, go put a jam pad in your thong and suck me.

  • @xXxja196xXx sir, u are a inspirational man.

  • @MarkG11400 Dude... really? You're correcting one person's spelling of a commonly mis-spelled word, which in this case is solder.... and yet you're the one that spelled the word permanently wrong.. So you can fix a PS3, but you yourself can't even spell. Oh and one more little thing... It's spelled RECOMMEND.

  • @pizzaface777 Get his ass dude!!!

i was gonna fry his ass but you've done it for me..

in addition to what pizzaface said, ja196 stated in the beginning that it was a temporary fix and that the results may vary..no fucking need to use profanity and scorn someone who's simply trying to help

  • if you have a game in the consol wudnt it melt it?

  • @dannysmith12386 the first step of part 1 it removing the game inside ur ps3.............

  • How long would you recommend i leave it to cool if im just leaving it with no fan ?

  • Tried this 3 times & STILL no success >:(

  • I worked! Managed to start it up so I can retrieve my saved data. Thanks!

  • i had to put PS3 in oven to get all thing to be reflow. it'll work longer than hairdryer

  • @choppergage HOLY what heat did you use and anything else?

  • @dragonfire970 gas oven. I put the temperature to limit around 400 to 450F to get thing work property. Use it your own risk and limted time around 5 to 10 min (depending on how much you hear the bubble)

  • mate, your a fucking legend for posting this. good lad :D

  • what if you don't have a fan? where I live it is pretty cold, can i put it outside to cool it? or is it important that it blows into the ps3?

  • were is the part 1

  • is the fan necessary.cause i hav the ceiling fan only .lol

  • is the fan really needed?

  • @MrCrazymonk43 No, but you will have to wait like 2 hours to let it cool down.

  • Hey i hav a question did you take the hard drive win yu did the blow dryer trick?

  • so you want to melt the inside of your ps3? im not sure i want to try this.

  • @ModernMarine its already borken, i tryed it and and it last 4 a week and then it broke again 3 days later, later then it broke again which is right now.. but now i got a fan be4 i was usng the ceiling fan

  • OMG THANK YOU! This just happened to me today.

Few months back had my blu-ray laser go bad, found the solution on youtube, fixed it myself.

Get this problem, and again, fixed it myself! Saved me $300 total for the repairs to be done by sony...with that, I'll trade this one into gamestop while it still works and get a slim (I needs more space anyways)

    Thanks a ton man!

  • i did it but now it freezes and shuts off every 10 seconds

  • wat if u dont have a fan

  • @seamyhlad then you're fucked

  • thank for everything but 1 thing who sell me the ps3 was in the shop not my friend he says that my ps3 is dead :'( lol but mobo have problem

  • lol ive done this like 10 times and it worked each time. but the inside of mine melted, so it wont work anymore. Thanks anyway

  • cud u let it to cool down itself? PLZ ANSWER

  • @danruls78 yea you could, but I think it last longer when you use a fan, plus it cools quicker

  • this works! THUMS UPP^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

  • this works but i got it again later less than 10 minutes later just cuz i only let it cool off for 14 minutes so if i do it again with the right time it shuld work like a charm

  • thanks man this worked for me

  • Bro you just saved me an ass load of money thanks so much anyone who is hatin on dude get off this nigga helped me fix my shit so hopefully he can help you as well good lookin homi!

  • wat if u threw your ps3 box away can u use any other box

  • @bllanoz yeah bro I used some box my Craftsmen tool set came in it works!

  • im letting the fan cool it down right now

  • im trying this right now, hope it works!

  • i will give you the heads up if it works if it does work i'm subscribing big time

  • i'm so glad i have a hair dryer and a fan

  • u theef u diddent figure this out som other lad posted it up dont say u figured it out when u diddent

  • @steelflexy exactly.

  • is the fan vital to the process? can i just put it in a cool place?

  • Quick question, what settings are your hairdryer on?

  • Fixed again :), I'm going to leave it for the rest of the day though, as last night I was just on the ps3 home screen and was making sure everything was still there when it turned off.

  • Fuck, it just went down.. Oh well, I'll try again tomorrow :(

  • Thanks budd. After my second try, I did wht the guy below did (hairdryer for 20, then cool for 45), only I let it cool for around an hour and a half while I played on my dads ps3 aha, thanks a bunch.

  • thnx a lot bro, your the best i didnt do it yet but im pretty confident, thank you

  • can you leave the ps3 if you dont have a fan

  • Kid, you're unbelievable.

I tried this cause I knew what you were getting at... Re-flowing the motherboard connections without taking it apart and knowing to have it upside down because of where the necessary parts are located.

I did this using the ps3 box, hairdryer on high for 20 minutes to be sure. Fan next for 45 minutes to cool all the way.

Worked like a charm first try and has lasted for 5 days already with no problems.

Thanks little guy for figuring this out.

  • @cyberjew2 do you still have no problem with your ps3? because i am considering trying this solution myself. please reply. thanks

  • and when i do ths at about 3 min through you can see lil blue sparks is this ok

  • @patrickiii200 Hmm idk ive never had that before, my hair dryer goes from High temp to low but has a 1-2 speed i have mine on 2 and on high so do not make it to fast or tohot

  • ok so im jw my dad threw out the ps3 box would it be ok if i saycut the top of a 24 pack of pepsi and ued that plz reply

  • @patrickiii200 if the ps3 fits in nicely and has room left yes go ahead but make sure you tape all the holes uin it

  • you are a little genius,i tried this,i followed your steps and it worked first time.BIG THANKS

  • @gazrocks72 No Problem, dont forget to subscribe ;)

  • @gazrocks72 he's not a genius lol, he just know how to watch other youtube videos of fixing the ps3 with a hair dryer, and making a video himself. it's not like he came up with the concept.... anyways, nice video kid.

  • @clippersown Actually this may be on otehr videos but i ONLY saw ppl using a Heat gun, so i tryed wih a hair dryer and it worked for abit but then i put it in a box to trap heat inside becouse the volume of the box is taken up by the ps3 so the heat fills the rest therefore heating it up, <--- thats exactly what i thought when i first did it

  • @xXxja196xXx it works better if you wrap it with clothes or towels. and you said that you have done it 4 times already, if you keep doing this then your ps3 will eventually become unfixable because you'll have literally melted some essential parts on the mobo, or maybe even fried the CPU/GPU. I opened my ps3 up, located the CPU/GPU dyes, then put the hairdryer on it for about 5 minutes. this is a better fix because without opening it, you can possibly harm things that are already working.

  • not working for me any ideas?

  • @chepy24 Hmm try hairdrying for abit longer that may work maybe an extra 2 mins of hairdrying autta do it .

  • @xXxja196xXx i tried and nothin i heat it for 15 min let it cool with a fan for 15-20 and then try again and still ylod

  • Hey, lil man you are pretty damn smart! where did u learn how to do this?

  • @ntuitavu Well i was looking at that towel technique for the xbpox and though becouse i cant turn on the ps3, why dont i just put in heat for myself so i put it upside down in the box becouse the GPU and CPU are located on the frontside up so the sauders will recconect properly upside down so i figured a hair dryer, and the right amount of time autta do it, so when i tryed it was litterly like OMG this FU**** worked :D, and decided to post on youtube to help other , lik you ;)

  • medium heat correct?

  • this works !!! my ps3 has been running month

  • i tried this it doesnt work

  • @ROCKER3740 Keep trying buddy, sometimes it dosnt work idk why, but it did it for me once and i did it again and it worked

  • @xXxja196xXx Okay ill try thanx

  • doesn't work for me i have a 60 gb launch ps3 , ive tried it twice already

  • Do you need the box??

  • @madgreenies Yes, you neeed some kind of box to keep in the heat

  • ive just done this for 15 mins in a small box and i think ive melted my back vents :O , got to wait for it to cool down now , im not using a fan . hope this works bitch

  • do i need the fan?

  • I thought this was your 4th time getting the YLOD?

at 2:50 you said you got it the 2nd time?

  • am gonna try this if not work i will sell it toward a slim

  • It was a bit annoying waiting 15 minutes while doing much of nothing but waiting for the fan to cool, but it did pay off in the end!

  • @PanAnning yeh its pretty annoying but now my ol one has been going for 7 months like HOLY SH** :D

  • lol, i tried it and blow up my house! tihi!!
