  • Anyone knows where can i get .wav or .mp3 file of the Containment Unit Shutdown alarm?

  • 1:17 KA BOOM

  • i always loved the way egon snapped (Your mother!) it shows that underneath all of that sciencey braniac stuff, he is just as normal as the rest of us.

  • YOUR MOTHER XD LOL

    I -3 GHOSTBUSTERS!!!!

  • Pretty sure this is how the MegaUpload takedown went down.

  • @dokkles Yes, Peck is the government, Venkman is the users who know how the internet works, and the ghosts are Anons.

  • @nsputnik That or peck is the New Zealand anti-terrorist unit and Venkman is the guy with the equally badass last name

  • @raptorjesus11 There are so many things you can apply it to. It's a timeless lesson.

  • Walter Peck is a tool

  • Lesson: Never trust the EPA!

  • Lesson from this, Never trust the EPA!

  • Walter Prick ! xDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • Walter is a fucking asshole

  • This is essentially what's going to happen when SOPA becomes law

  • Aw. I wanted to see the scene where all the ghosts run rampant all over the city.

  • WALTER PECK IS A DUMBASS FOR SHUTTING DOWN THAT ECTO CONTAINMENT UNIT! WHEN HE BECOMES A GHOST, WALTER SHOULD BE ZAPPED AND TRAPPED SO HE CAN EXPERIENCE WHAT IT'S LIKE TO LIVE WITH ALL THE OTHER GHOSTS.

  • This is the perfect analogy to Gramm-Leach-Bliley (repeal of Glass-Steagall). Glass-Steagall WAS "the containment grid" which prevented the evil predators from running amuck on Wall Street with the public's wealth and savings. Gramm-Leach-Bliley effectively "shut off the containment grid".

  • ok

    who divided by zero

  • @027220

Nah neither would I. But this is one epic movie!!! :)

  • The ConEd guy should have refused. I don't think he'd be there all by himself. Where's his boss? Where's the union rep?

  • @MikeDunn you do realize this is a MOVIE, right???? lol

  • @JennyJennyBoomBoom Mind your own business, JennyJennyDumbDumb.

  • @MikeDunn if you want people to mind their own business, then don't make comments on public sites. Wow, "dumbdumb". That hurt. LOL What are you, 5 years old?

  • @JennyJennyBoomBoom I should be asking YOU that question, considering you're the one with the silly name. And if you want to make smart ass remarks on public sites, you'll get the same in return.

  • @MikeDunn ohhhhhhhhhhhhh k. Take care hon.

  • Nice vid quality. Thanks much!

  • "Your mother!"

  • I want that alarm sound effect badly.

  • Screw you Peck! XD

  • When I saw this scene of Mr. Pecker blaming the Ghostbusters for a disaster he himself caused after he was thoroughly warned against it, I SO wanted to deck that bastard!

  • @kchishol1970 Really?

I always kind of sympathized with the guy. I mean he showed up at their seemingly scam-my business, showed his credentials as an EPA guy, (more than even Winston bothered to do, and they trusted him with an actual nuclear weapon that they themselves state could end life as we know it), and asked to see the nuclear powered device that they built in the middle of a densely populated area. Not to shut it down, just to INSPECT it.

  • @kchishol1970 Really? I always kind of sympathized. I mean, he's an EPA regulator that comes into their business where they're using unregulated nuclear weapons, and after presenting credentials (more than Winston did, or had, and they trusted him with a weapon that could potentially have wiped out humanity), and asked to inspect the giant nuclear device, with unknown safety measures build in, that they built in the middle of a densely populated area. But he's the bad guy?

  • @Konform2zoidberg He's a bad guy because he irresponsibly shut down a nuclear device designed to contain ghosts. Which in turn caused said ghosts to get released, the ghosts then proceeded to spread chaos across all of New York City causing immense environmental and property damage. And it all happened because this dickless EPA representative refused to research what the Ghostbusters were working with before he shut it down purely out of pride and spite towards the Ghostbusters.

  • @Popcultureguy3000 "And it all happened because this dickless EPA representative refused to research what the Ghostbusters were working with"

He didn't refuse. He made an attempt, and Venkmen wouldn't let him, and was needlessly rude. It seems to me Venkmen acted out of the same character flaws as Peck would later in the film: pettiness, pridefulness, and spite.

Still, the film insists that it's obvious which one of two equally ass-y assholes we are supposed to side with.

    Cracked.

  • @Konform2zoidberg Venkmen's would-be girlfriend was possessed by a horrifying servant of an evil pagan diety on their first date! I think that the filmmakers wanted it to be obvious that this, combined with the fact that the world may end soon and that Walter was already acting like a know-it-all asshole, was the reason Venkmen blew the Peck(er) off.

  • @Konform2zoidberg LOL "equally assy assholes" haha

  • @Konform2zoidberg Peck didn't truly believe that the Ghostbusters actually caught real ghosts either. He already had a disbelief about their unique "trade".

  • @Popcultureguy3000 What if there had been a power outage? What if a terrorist cell had found out about the destructive potential? All they had for security was an apathetic secretary.

And who do they put in charge of public relations? The same guy who repeatedly zapped a student in order to impress chicks.

Combine a blatant disregard for the lives of civilians with an arrogant, insulting prick and it would be hard not to want to ruin these guys.

  • Respond to this video... ......Also, please keep in mind, he originally didn't necessarily say he wanted to shut it down, just that he wanted to "see" it. Venkmen was, however, unnecessarily hostile even after the guy said he wanted " to assess any possibility of dangerous and possibly hazardous waste chemicals in your basement". Venkmen just threatened him back with a lawsuit for "wrongful prosecution".

Nothing he's requesting seems unreasonable to me...

  • @Konform2zoidberg it seems like if they would have shown him the device, or made some attempt originally to explain and not deliberately been provocative it never would have happened....

but then that wouldn't have been much of a movie then would it.

  • @Konform2zoidberg It's a comedy. It wouldn't be funny if Dr. Venkman wasn't an asshole. Rule of Funny prevails.

  • Your mother! ( epic fight followed)

  • @IncredableDrE I never blamed Egon 'personally' for this.
