just do some tutorials or mess around in the program.

Thanks, it is a combination of techniques and programs. Mainly Autodesk Maya 8 and After Effects, with a bit of MS Paint. Cant go wrong with the classics ;)

Yeah, After Effects, but yeah you could actually do it in Maya using image plains, but it would be a bit of a fuck on.
