i have the AWUS036NH and i was wondering if this is compatible with backtrack 3 or 4 if so which drivers do i need because it is not showing up in backtrack 3
@gtaking111 Backtrack3 is very old and the NH is a new card... The AWUS036h is the BEST card and works on bt3.... Try 'apt-get update' and update your distro... or... just download BT4 its free and I prefer BT4

Hey man. It's about time someone made a vid about card/program interface compatibility. I bought the AWUS036H (1000mw). I'm really excited about it. I think it has the same chipset as the 500mw if I am correct.
i have the 500mw and the 1w one also i plan to do a comparison video for them soon. (grounded right now) They both use the rtl8187 chipset altho im not sure what you mean by card/program interfaces.

I have read that you can not use aircrack on a chip(iv tried on mine it didnt work).but if i have a chip and a card will it work??

yes, aircrack will only work in linux on certain cards

i had this old hp windows laptop and i got aircrack to work on it. i think it had atheros card or something
