I live in bklyn, NY and its very rare to have raccoons in this neighborhood, these sounds are definitely raccoons screams I heard this shit last night around 3am I saw 3 raccoons on top of my garage. I'm gonna fuckn shoot them with my paintball gun when I hear them again.
this just happened outside my window but with a coyte that literally sounded like a snarling beast. (so as i think) and i live in a place where theres not a lot of woods but theres a coyote looses supposedly. can someone tell me if racoons snarl. i mean it actually sounded like a huge beast. i heard the racoon squeels though.
Hearing this now. I was torn between wondering if it was racoons, or a dying rabbit(I've only heart the latter once before), because it was so loud and chirpy.

How many racoons do you estimate were there during your recording? I wonder if the non-fighting racoons making sounds were cubs? During the biggest raccoon fight in my neighborhood three nights ago, it was obvious that a few raccoons were running back and forth within my neighbor's fenced-in lawn. It was awful.
Nova Scotian here too haha; I heard this freaky low growling mixed with high screams last night. Tonight I'm jus hearing little noises like the cubs make. My neighbor feeds them : )
im listening to this exact sound right now, in new york city of all places. it drives me mad, and its literally every night. its like they have a nightly Fight Club right outside my window
@lazer59882 Dude I live in Manhattan and have had this problem the past week. Many of my neighbors have complained and it's so scary hearing this in the middle of the night. When I first heard it I thought someone was in danger! Flipping raccoons.
I heard the raccoons and red fox families having a gang fight behind my house once. My dogs were going ballistic, so I went out back and smacked my hands together and shouted: "Hey, knock it off". Then when I shined my flashlight into the underbrush, about a dozen pairs of eyes popped up staring at me! Lol. Needless to say, they stopped after that. I had a chance to see the baby raccoon one winter as well, it was awesome.
I was chilling out on my roof when I heard noises like that. Then suddenly a raccoon comes running down the street being chased by another raccoon, and they kept on running down the road. It was random o.o
just took my dog out for a walk, and was sitting on the park bench and heard this sound I thought it was raccoons but wasn't sure, But the fight I heard was much more intense sounded like they were fighting to the death ! scared me so I left the park and went home lmao
Omg I just woke up to this noise coming from the tree rite next to the window! Weirdest scariest noise I've ever heard and loud as fuck. It sounded looked like a squirrel fell of the tree then I saw 2 racoons coming out of the tree. It keeps playing in my head now I can't go back to sleep and I'm scared to go out haha
@KINGBEARZ THE SAME THING HAPPEND TO ME TOO ! i was sleeping and at like 5 in the morning i heard this super creepy screeching sound and i looked out my window and there was a racoon fighting with a cat in the neighbors yard.. and it was hurt and it stayed chilling in the yard intil like 5 PM i was freaked out and it kept making the screechy sound all day lmaoo it was kinda cutee though
I once went out and shined a flashlight in the tree when raccoons were fighting like this and they both stopped and looked at me and then resumed fighting.

Sounds a lot more like a fox, particularly a gray fox. I have both red and gray foxes here and they sound just like that when fighting. Could be either a gray or red fox.
me and my bro just heard these sounds right now at 1 am , thought we were getting invaded by aliens or some shit.

Sounds a lot more like a fox, particularly a gray fox. I have both red and gray foxes here and they sound just like that when fighting. Could be either a gray or red fox.
